So, I told you ladies that I picked the bridesmaid dress, but I was a little nervous breaking the news to my pregnant best friend. She was SOOO sweet about it! I also asked her to be my second matron of honor, and she made me feel really good about that too.. Said she wasn''t expecting it and she was honored and that it made her whole day. And then.. part of me thinks she''s wacky for this, but mostly I just LOVE her for it.. So she is having twins. Her due date is March 26th, but she''s planning on having the babies around 37 weeks, because that''s pretty typical with twins, so that would be around March 10th.. and shes having a c-section (so she will have some choice in when she delivers, since its already decided that shes having a csection)... so she''ll be in the hospital about 4 days..
My shower is March 15th.. she DETERMINED to be there... she said even if she has to stop by on her way home from the hospital! Obviously, things change and who knows when she''ll have the kids..and I obviously told her I dont'' want her to stop in on the way home from the hospital.. but she''s just SOOOO sweet..
And then we were talking about the wedding, and her twins will be about 2 months old for that..She''s a little worried about working out her feeding schedule since she''ll be away from the whole day, or most of the day.. .. which is understandable (She is funny that she thinks about this all so far ahead of time, but I would be the same way!! )
I told her she was more than welcome to bring the babies to the wedding if she wants, but she kept saying "I don''t want to take away from you.." "I don''t want to get in the way.." OH MY GOSH! I am so freaking happy for her that she''s having these babies, that she''s wanted.. I don''t know.. since we were 11.. that she could carry them down the AISLE at my wedding and I wouldn''t even mind! I actually kind of want her to bring the babies to the wedding, cuz I''m soooo excited about them.. I''m sure I''ll want to see them as much as possible.. and teeny babies always make for cute pictures.. lol.
Anyway.. she''s just sooooo wonderful.. How could I NOT have asked her to be my Matron of Honor all along?
My other bridesmaid left me a message on the knot yesterday, because she saw my dress pics on there, and she made me feel fantastic too! I don''t get to talk to her much, so little things like that are really special!
Things are really looking up!
