I just picked up a pair of Rock & Republic jeans. I am tall (5''9 and a bit), and I have a hard time finding jeans long enough, especially if I want to wear a heel with my jeans. Well, these puppies come with a 36 inch inseam!!! Yah! And they look great, are comfortable, etc. My only complaint is the sizing. I tried on 3 pairs in the same size, but all fit extremely differently! Weird. Anyway, shouting out to spread the word!

Lucky you with the long legs! I am with you on the sizing - I have to try on every pair - QC sux these days!

The first pair I tried were so big, I would have needed to drop a size or two! But the next pair, same size, fit! The salesperson said this was not uncommon. Weird and annoying. I am a busy chicka, and I like to grab and go (although I guess I should try on pants before I buy them...

I love my R&R''s, and my BF even just joined in and got a pair. They are so long... I''m just over 5''7" and I had to have them shortened, and that has never happened to me before!!! My only complaint about mine, and probably bc they have a lot of stretch (I like em tight), is that they grow whenever I wear them anywhere will I am doing a lot of sitting... aka dinner. So they are more of a going out for drinks pair of jeans... I normally wear citizens, which are pretty long too...
Glad you found jeans you love, it''s not easy to do!

I also own Citizens, but they are border line long enough. I thought I would have to shorten at 36 inch inseam, but I don''t! They do "give" a lot, but I am used to this with my Citizens and Sevens (the sevens stretched more).

Lucky you, I wish I had that issue. I''m short and have to get all my jeans hemmed! Luckily I found a great seamstress who will either remake the original hem or sew the original back on so they never look funny.

Thanks, Canuck. I have never ever ever had to hem a pair of pants. Ever. I would love to have that problem - instead, I can't buy a lot of great clothes because they are too short. Sigh.

Congrats! I''m part of the short club and always need to get them hemmed and pay an extra $10-15 to have them keep the original hem. Jean shopping is such a headache, contrats on finding a pair you love!

I want some, but I just can''t seem to justify the expense right now.

LC, have you tried Miss Sixty jeans? They have long inseams too, 36 like the R&R ones if I remember correctly.

No, I haven''t. I just throw myself at the mercy of the sales people at this one store I shop at for casual clothes, and they direct me. I don''t think they sell Miss Sixty''s there.

I really like the R&Rs - I am quite slim (my husband has told me to "grow an ass" before

), and I find that the R&Rs fit my shape quite well. How to the Miss Sixty''s fit?

LitChick, I''m right there with you re. the inseam thang. However, I am guessing I have fuller hips and as$ than you, as Joes Jean Honeys and assorted others fit me better than R&Rs. The jeans hunt is always frustrating for every gal, iI think. The store you purchased from is hiring right now and I almost (ALMOST) got myself down there to apply, but they were only looking for weekend help. Maybe when I obtain a FT j-o-b I willl look them up...they offered a substantial discount!

Monarch - are you talking about Aritzia?

HI:

I used to wear (only) Miss Sixties--until I fell in love with AG (Holts has the beat selection of jeans...ever....). Sorry, I digress, M60 have several "fits" and I found them really comfy. I am rather slender and always found them very flattering...

cheers--Sharon

Oh, Canuk, the less I go to Holts, the better. Last trip yielded 2 pairs of Manolos! Eek. I can''t be trusted there.....

Okay, maybe I will check it out, but just for a second!

Miss Sixty''s tend to fit slender/narrow well, a little more so than R&R (which is also great for slender/narrow.) Another recommendation - Paper Denim & Cloth.

HI:

So does this mean you are NOT going to the Holt''s Spring shopping night on the 12th?

I doubt I am this year; besides I just bought 6 new tops in the last week....
