So I have gotten a couple of warnings from the moderator telling me that some members think I am flipping jewelry and I am compelled to clarify that I am selling from my personal collection, which is why all my rings are the same size and so are my watches! I became a jewelry collector thanks to this site, and because I got a little carried away, I have had to sell off some stuff recently. The ebay account is my husband's who did not build it by selling jewelry. I felt compelled to post this in case anyone out there is feeling threatened every time I post my items. Please notice that unlike some other members who sell their items, I do not say "I never got around to sizing or setting this..." which to me is the sign of a flipper.

Re: I am not a flipper...Public notice to all

I wanted to add that I am not selling my jewelry to make a profit, I am trying to make some of my money back. Selling preowned jewelry is not exactly a lucrative business; I don't make a penny and am lucky when I make half of what I originally paid for!

I think there are people here who have sold as much or more than you! So that really did not cross my mind! It is very easy to end up collecting things, then buy better things and want to sell off things you like less. Good luck with your sales!

I'm surprised this is an issue. There's been a few people with numerous items for sale recently. :)

I am also surprised this is an issue. There are a lot of people here who buy things and either can't return them or change their minds. I know I do! That's part of jewelry collecting... buy, sell, get more!

Nala, I posted in your other thread but I just wanted to let you know it never even occurred to me you could be flipping - as DS said other people sell a lot more items than you. I think people jumped to conclusions and I don't blame you for wanting to clarify.

weird, I agree, there are some people who sell tons!!! msg the admins if you have questions though.

I wondered if you might be trade, given that 80% if your threads have been in Preloved, but didn't report you or anything.

Ladies and gentlemen these types of posts are unnecessary and only hurt the Preloved forum.

To clarify, when we receive a number of complaints from a number of users, we often respond with a polite warning to a member. This is the case in this situation, a polite reminder was issued that all items on preloved needed to be personal preloved items. We issued this warning after checking the many ebay transactions ourselves and finding among other things a number of rings in different sizes.

If we know a member is flipping we do not allow them to sell on preloved, period. If we are concerned that it appears they are flipping, we will issue a polite warning as we have done in the past with other users.

If anyone has any further questions or requires clarification please contact us directly.

We do not allow cross posting nor is this thread helpful, so we will be closing it at this time.

Thank you for your cooperation. :))
