I am officially waiting now..

Hi! I asked to have my name officially added to the list because although I had posted one time a few months ago, up until now I didn''t really feel like I was officially waiting. My boyfriend and I have been dating 2.5 years, and had been best friends 2 years befor that. We had mentioned marriage a lot and always talked about "when we get married" but that was about it. I posted on LIW because he would always tell me that he was waiting for "the right time" -- which is how I came up with my screen name. I asked for some advice and wanted to know if anyone else''s bf had had that attitude.

I love him so much, but bless his heart he cannot keep a secret!! Today he told me that he had talked to my dad and asked for his blessing! I was sooo surprised. He also talked to his family and told them what his plans were. I sort of wish he had not told me so it would be a real surprise, but I know him too well and know he could not keep it to himself. I know he doesn''t have a ring yet or he wouldn''t have been able to keep that a surprise at all!

So now the real wait begins. I feel like I am going to be watching his every move and guessing when it will happen. This is all so new today that I don''t think he has thought through to his next step.
