I bought my dress- Amy Michelson! YAY!

After going to 3 different bridal salons and trying on other gowns, I always came back to my favorite, Amy Michelson "Grace" gown. I thought it was just my "dream dress" because it was over $5,000. Well I''m happy to say that today I was able to buy that gown as a sample and saved quite a bit of money, plus got a $500 cathedral length veil for $179. I''m thrilled to say the least! I''ll be posting pics when my friend e-mails them to me from her phone. We weren''t able to take pictures of the dress until I actually bought it.

Here''s what it looks like on the model. Mine is not Ivory, it has more of a light champagne tint, which really makes it pop.

Me, ecstatic! LOL. My veil is slipping off. Bad idea to have really clean slippery hair when trying on heavy veils!

Oh, and just wanted to mention to the fellow TALL girls out there that Amy Michelson cuts her gowns for us tall ladies. I''m 6''1 1/2" and can buy a sample gown with little to none alterations.

This is the first time I think in my life where my height has worked for me instead of against me when it comes to fashion! I thought for sure I''d have to be adding fabric to which ever wedding dress I decided on.

Thanks guys. I fell in love with it when I saw it. It needs to be taken in as it''s too big for me, but should be an easy fix. I can''t wait to wear it. I don''t want to put anything else on, but will have to wait until June.

I''m so envious of your height! When I was little I always wanted to be at least 5''10" because my mother''s best friend is over 6'' and I always looked up to her (literally and figuratively). I made it 5''8" (taller than both of my parents).
