Hi everone! Well I'm working on a finding a photographer and I'm having such a hard time.

(Add me to the list of other ladies that are having a difficult time finding one!) I've looked at soooo many and I'm getting frustrated. A lot of the ones that I've found and loved are over my budget. I met with one awhile ago and his work has continues to stick out in my mind. Most of the other photographers stuff is starting to look the same to me. But I don't know if I should keep on looking and see if I can find someone else. He's a teeny bit over my budget, but I've liked his work the best so far. My date is so popular (7-7-07) and I can't believe how fast photographers have been booked. A couple terrific guys that were within my budget were already booked a long time ago. So I don't want to drag my feet ya know? Here is the photographer that is my favorite so far. I just wanted to get your opinions.... what do you all think?

My favorite wedding that he's done (Under "Favorite Venues".... Timberline Lodge, Allison and Bill's Wedding)

And just to compare, here is another photographer that I just met with. He's within the budget, but his style is very different.

Thanks for your help everyone. I really appreciate it.

I like both, but I lean more towards the 2nd photog. Although I''m into details...I like that he captures people being active not just artistic plus if the price fits...hey go with it.

You have to decide what you want to splurge on...if it''s pictures go with it!

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

I love both styles, and I''m having a hard time trying to decide on which one I actually like better... they are so different from each other! You think that''d make it easier. I see what you''re saying about the 2nd photog shooting more active shots. I like that too and didn''t notice it before. Hopefully I''ll figure this out soon! I appreciate you taking a moment to help me out! Others'' insights really help.

Take care!

Hey Chelle,

I have to say I like the second better also. They''re both good, but it really does come down to a matter of taste, and I prefer a more photojournalistic approach. If your thoughts keep wandering back to #1 (but he''s a little out of the budget), it might be worth it to cut back in another area or to splurge. Photography is pretty important! Whichever you pick will be a great choice.

Hi Chelle-

I like #2- his style reminds me of my photographer, who I just ended up booking last week....I really love how he captures those candid moments...but #1 is nice too, if you are having a hard time deciding between the two, make a pro and con list for each. Start with cost, then personality, what each of them offers, etc. Just make sure you really click with whomever you choose....Remember that your photographer's personality is very important- if you don't really mesh with him or her, it will make a huge impact on how your photographs turn out. Also, before and for a long time after the wedding is over you will be very involved with this person. So, hopefully that will help you make the final decision...

Thanks for the responses ladies!

I should''ve said that those are my two favorites and not just the first photographer. It sounds like I just love the first one and gave a second one to compare. I do love both styles. I want to look back and love my photographs years from now. Robert (second photog) does have a photojournalistic style which I love ... I don''t know why I didn''t see it before, but the first guy doesn''t really have that same approach (I think he said he did). So thank you for pointing that out! I want those candid shots, I think they capture the day as it really happened and that''s what I want. And his pics look very fresh and natural. Anyways, I really appreciate all your input! I''m meeting with one or two more photographers... I''ll let ya know how it goes.
