I have just found out that it is a common practice amongst the bridal shops here in Johannesburg to charge you to try on a wedding dress!
You walk in and then pay a set amount (Between R50 and R150) and then the assistant tells you you can try on x number of wedding dresses!
The amount these dresses cost is unreal, thousands and thousands of Rands and you still have to pay for the priviledge of trying them on??? I can''t understand the logic, are there hoardes of women who run around trying wedding dresses on without intent to either buy or marry at all?
Talk about milking the wedding cash cow for all it''s worth!
Is this a worldwide, common practice or is it just here?
