Seriously. I don''t know if it''s stress or what, but I can''t stop filling my face!!! I don''t feel stressed, I feel like I''ve got a good handle on the wedding (18 days away, 15 until family gets here) and the pre wedding prep, but I must have some repressed anxiety going on. I''ve also caught myself biting/picking my cuticles several times in the past week.

Anyone else having these issues???

Not yet, but you''re probably just anxious/nervous/excited? I know my stomach never feels full when I''m feeling that way.

Hudson, I think you''re probably dead on that it''s anxiety/nerves/stress that may be more repressed.
That''s not to imply it''s anything too serious, but with your wedding so quickly approaching you''re bound to have lots of feelings going on and it''s a common comfort and/or distraction to turn to food.

I had some struggles with emotional eating in the past, so I relate to how you''re feeling now.

Just do what you can to take care of yourself (massage, walks, etc) in the upcoming weeks.

Yea, I *get* that I might have those feelings, I just think it''s funny that I don''t outwardly feel stressed and yet I have the urge to clean out the fridge.

Hugs to you HH. Please be good to yourself. I second the suggestion for a massage!

Haha, I find myself mindlessly noshing when big exams are looming sometimes, even when I''m not actually feeling stressed (no increased heart rate or mental anxiety). So I''m with you there!

Eat celery Hudson!!! Negative calories. And if you put peanut butter on it, I won't tell anyone.

GAHHHHH!!! You must be so excited!!!!!

I can totally relate. I started working out on a regular basis, about three weeks ago. One week ago, for the first time I ever I began running every other day. It makes me ravenous! So far, I''ve been focused on the miles...(ha! I can run 3/4 of a mile) but today i realized that for 10minutes of running, I''m nearly doubling my calorie intake in the next meal! Not so useful in the whole weight loss efforts...

I''ve found drinking as much water as I can stand throughout the day, does help. And I''ve gotten better at having tasty, but healthy munchies around (cherries, walnuts, yogurt etc...)

So if you are going to graze...graze healthy! You may just bore yourself into fullness.

That's ME exactly right now as well! I've been wanting to stuff my face non-stop, but I worry I wont fit into my dress. So I bought a huge big thing of rice cakes and I munch on that + celery ALL DAY long!

I am feeling zero outwardly stress or anxiety, but every now and then I get butterflies in my tummy! I think I'm just mad excited.

ETA: Also can't work out because of the damn sprained ankle. Blahhhh...gotta keep avoiding food for the next 11 days, which is going to be difficult as family begins to trickle in and meals end up being predominantly out in restaurants.

Seems like wedding stuff is starting to get to you! I''m so sorry! For me, a good run or some kind of workout helps me when i get on a bad eating schedule. It seems to turn my whole outlook around, and it couldn''t hurt, looking and feeling good on your wedding day is important! I know once I start working out, I make better eating choices. Maybe it''s just me but it''s worth a shot! Good luck to you! It''s almost here! Hang in there!

I''ve been feeling the same way so I just grab my water bottle each time I want to eat something. So far it''s helping for the most part, but not all the time. I just keep reminding myself I don''t want to gain any weight and sometimes a sugar craving is the first sign of dehydration.

Go with the water + fruit or vegetables. I''ve been trying to cut down on calories and sodium, and it has been working okay for me. I drink a ridiculous amount of water--helps with the empty feeling!

I wish I were just filling my face with food and having repressed anxiety instead of where I am at. I am all to aware of my anxieties and feelings - it feels like none are repressed after years doing therapy with a great psychologist (partly to learn more about me and partly for my training) and being in the field myself. It can be a curse to be aware of too many things going on in you at once (confusing!) but, in other ways, a blessing because if we all continued to act on our unconscious drives we''d be in big trouble!

Hang in there!

Kudos to you on your running! I always found running to music helpful when trying to build up endurance. I''ll set a goal of running for say 3 songs at 4.0 or 5.0 speed. If the average song is 4 minutes long then you''ve run for 12 minutes and probably close to a mile if not more! It''s really not the distance that gets you, it''s the amount of time you''re running.

I third the massage!!!!! Maybe a nice mani and pedi too, with enough time to get them redone before the big day.

I think I''m going to have the pedi today. I need to find a good place around where I work for a massage....mmmm....massage...

I feel you Hudson! I have been tanning and with that noticing that I am getting a little belly "poof" thing going on... and yes, eating away too. It is SO stress related!!!

Oh and my nails that i never bite are all chewed down now

thank gosh for gel nails eh? LOL

You have family coming in... if that is not stress enough on any normal day what is?

and ...well, you gotta eat haha!

HH
i am eating nonstop too, thank god my dress is a corset back or i may be in trouble.
get a mani/pedi and massage, enjoy!

My wedding is about 2+ weeks away and I was chowing down In & Out last night savoring every moment of it. Can''t help it. Due to my rash, I couldn''t really exercise as the itch was killing me. I also didn''t think that I was stressed. I''ve been trying to go for massage and acupuncture... and it helped quite a bit on my rash.. but I still can stop eating.

I totally understand your situation.

Ok, once I finish my breakfast (eating my unhealthy breakfast as I type), I shall eat more healthy and in smaller but more frequent portions. This time I am SERIOUS!

GS are you feeling any better??

Thanks! Each time, I''ve been running with DF (until I cut out, and he keeps going) so I haven''t tried music yet. And he has stated the same thing about endurance vs. speed/distance. The 4 min. per song idea makes sense for trying to pace out and run longer.

me too. its stress. im studying for the bar and wedding planning and eating during it all. i find that crunchy things hold me over for a while-i like baked tortilla chips and salsa, or frozen fruit (frozen mango) eaten frozen instead of ice cream.

ME TOO!!!!! I can''t stop! I''m trying to make a pact to only choose fruits, veggies, or tea as snacks....but I cant stop! SO many temptations and going out....happy hour here, bridal shower there, etc....too much!

GS are you feeling any better??

Thanks for asking!! The redness is gone and it only itches when I''m really hot so there''s an improvement. YAY To PS Dusts!! However, the skin is still flakey and rough. Make up still cakes up badly. Seeing the dermatologist tomorrow to see he can help.

I am glad that I had a healthy lunch. Just have to see if I last through the afternoon without my dark chocolate!

Are you almost done in all your wedding prep?
