I want to thank everyone for their help in my posts asking for advice on a new stone. I took on board what people said about choosing a more expensive durable stone for my project.

I had a conversation with Wink about Richard Homer sapphires. He said that he would call in a beautiful stone for me to look at. He made a video for me to look at too. I would not have been able to afford this stone now if it wasn't for Wink's 'Gem Jail'. He will let customers set up a layaway program. I didn't know he did this!

So here it is, my new stone... (which will be here once I pay it off and release it from 'Gem Jail'!!)

Lovely!! Do you get visitation? Remind me how you are going to set it.

It''s gorgeous Maisie! Will the shape work for the LM ring?

I wish I could visit it lol!

I have been talking with Lesley at BGD about the setting. They are such wonderful people to deal with I will go with them. I will leave the Leon till later... but I will get one!

BGD sounds great too, your future ring is going be a stunner.

Leon was really nice to chat to on the phone. He was patient and went through all options with me. I would still love to work with him, maybe for a special anniversary or birthday. With BGD I have a real connection. I find it painless to work with them which is great for someone like me! Keep your eyes open for a new ring in the next two weeks... and not the sapphire either!

Maisie- Good for you! That is a stunning sapphire.

And OMG on Wink and his "gem jail".... that is hilarious and awesome!

It''s beautiful!

Hi Maisie - I''m not usually a fan of concave cuts, but that sapphire is gorgeous!! It looks so vivid, and the color is unbelievable. I''ve been very impressed by all the BGDs posted on SMTR - everything seems made to perfection, and I''m sure your new ring will be no exception. Look forward to seeing it!

oh man- that is a beautiful gem!i love concave cuts!

gem-jail? awesome... I''ll have to keep that in mind while we work on my wedding set

So I''m thinking maybe an east - west type setting with diamonds round.. or would that look silly? Or maybe a setting like Lost Sapphire has? I adore her setting!

Thank you for the call-out Maisie! How very kind of you.

Your new stone is lovely - have fun "bailing it out" of Wink''s GemJail!

Gorgeous, Maisie! It''s just lovely!!!!!!!

I can''t wait until it''s out of "gem jail"!!!!

maisie girl!

i am no expert (in fact, as ellen and Losty will tell you, i know diddly about sapphires!) but your stone to me looks GORGEOUS! i think it will look fabulous with the styles you are considering (i''m assuming you''re still looking at the same styles, despite swapping from leon to brian?)

take your time paying it off and enjoy the anticipation - this is gonna be FABBO!

East West with diamond accents would be lovely! I''m glad you found the stone you love.

Maisie sweetie pie, I LOVE that sapphire. It is beauuuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful. I love the gem jail idea. HA.

I am so happy you are going to go with Brian again. I know he will do a lovely job for you. I can''t wait to see the design you will choose.

I have a bit of time to decide on a setting. Which is a good thing. Everyone knows how indecisive I can be!

Don''t worry about that Maisie, I am the same way.

E-W will be great, Maisie. My oval spess is also going to be E-W, but sans diamonds.

Congrats on making a final decision. I hope you''re happy with it. BTW, the "gem jail" remark is hilarious!

Very beautiful sapphire, Maise. I think it is great to put a forever stone into a forever setting. So glad you can use ''gem jail''. I think lay-away is a wonderful idea and a great way to go.

It''s such a pretty blue!! And I also love the EW setting idea :)

Pretty! What a fun project!

That is a gorgeous stone. I am going to get another concave cut RH stone eventually. (after sending one back that I didn''t care for) I think yours will be a winner. Isn''t Wink a nice guy to deal with? "Gem jail" that''s hysterical. I''m sure you will not go wrong with BGD. They have been wonderful to deal with regarding my recent ring.

WOW....what an AMAZING color....I can''t wait to see your finished ring!!!
