Hi all! First posting in BIW, but it seems appropriate b/c what I did today feels VERY BIW.
So I went shopping with FMIL for wedding dresses throughout the last two days and at the end of today...I did it...got the dress. (Thanks to Elledizzy b/c it was at B.Ella!!!) The FMIL was so sweet...she kept saying that they each looked better than the next!!
. She also convinced me that even though we are doing a double ceremony and the first one is coming up very quickly, I should still wear a wedding dress to the first one. With that in mind we had to nix a couple of dresses that I had liked before because they couldn''t do the rush or b/c in once case the rush would have cost over $400
In the end I decided to pay for the dress myself b/c FI''s family are chipping in quite a lot for the wedding(s). Plus, after so long on my own it just seemed strange to have someone else buying my such an important and personal thing, but that is just me.
The dress I got is a Romona Keveza in lovely ivory shantung silk and a beaded/hand sewn lace crumb catcher. The skirt is full but with box pleats so there is structure to it. I didn''t buy the dress til after I had left the shop. (They called right before they closed and I decided to pull the trigger right then.) But I did take a couple illegal shots in the dressing room.
First the run way pics of the dress and the details
