I feel like I was going crazy!

I''m new here and I have to say I have never felt so relieved to run into a bunch of ladies who feel the same way I do. Let me make a really short introduction. I''m Jenn...I am a bit young 20..and my boyfriend is 21.We both started college young and are already almost finished. We met when I was 15 and have been unsperable since then. We have been together for 3 years now. We have had MANY talks of engagement but plan on getting married after his career takes off. We don''t plan on even talking about kids until our late 20''s or early 30''s.

I''m really wanting a long engagement (about 1 or 2 years), so that we can have the big wedding that we have dreamed of. I feel bad for sometimes giving my boyfriend such a hard time on why he hasn''t asked already.

But I just don''t think males really fully understand! lol.

I''m hoping by the summer he has popped the question. He has already told his father and mother that he has plans of asking soon and we have both picked a ring out. But why is it taking forever?! LOL. Anyway to calm me down?/ Any advice would be great!!

I can just suggest that you keep busy until he does do it and enjoy the build up. Looking back, the build up to it is so much fun. Just make sure that you''ve had all the talks that you need to have before getting engaged, ie, where to live, kids, how you''ll deal with money issues etc. It''s really important to have all those chats before hand. And remember where you get engaged, it''s not the big wedding that you are signing up to, it''s the marriage which is going to last forever. It sounds promising that he''s already spoken to your parents so hopefully he will do it soon!

Stay busy and try to keep your mind off of it and it''ll happen before you know it. He is likely to propose on a holiday or date meaningful to you? Valentine''s is too far off you know.

Thank you so much for yalls responses!!! I like to refer mysituation as I''m engaged to be engaged.LOL.
Oh I don''t think a marriage is for a big wedding. I''d just go to a court house if it came down to it. I have my grandmother''s ring but I don''t want to use it because I don''t want to resize it. I would feel bad doing that, I really don''t know why. I feel like I drive my boyfriend bringing it up so often. Haha. I''m sure some people know how I feel.

Just relax and let it happen. Graduating from college is one of the craziest times in a persons life so focus on getting through that, first.
