Well after a hugely long, drawn out setting search, which included at least 20 different trips to jewelers over several months, untold hours of scouring the internet, purchasing, and then sending back 2 (!!!) rings, exchanging countless emails with several jewelers, being jerked around by one jeweler (LONG story), and sporadic periods of stagnation where I didn't search for rings at all, I have finally, finally, FINALLY found the setting that I love, and the bf has made the purchase!!!
Here are the lucky guys that will eventually have a new home on my finger

I am so ridiculously happy that my setting search is over!!! I really did not think it would take this long or would be this hard to find an affordable half eternity ring with all the specifications that I wanted (six prong e-ring, with 5 pointers). At times I got so fed up that at one point I was like, "EFF IT!" and decided to get a solitaire with the intention of resetting later down the road when I wasn't so burned out from staring at ring after ring after ring. However, that had its own drama (because of the aforementioned being jerked around by a jeweler) and I'm so glad the solitaire didn't end up working out because I found my setting last week while randomly browsing online and I KNEW it was The One! Just in the nick of time, too, because the bf was starting to wonder why I was taking so long picking out a setting - he had wanted to propose by January but I couldn't get my act together and pick out a frickin' ring! I found it funny because HE was the DIW (Dude-In-Waiting
). I can't believe it's finally over. I'm starting to think that maybe there is something in the tradition of the guy picking out the setting by himself after all, haha! Or maybe not
Anyway, I just wanted to share my happy news with you gals - my set should be ready by mid-March (AAHHH) so I'll be sure to let you guys in on any developments regarding my LIW status around that time!
