the only problem is that it was recently on a runway in nyc, which means i have no hope in hell of finding it until at least january. it might be slightly different since this is only a runway sample. i don''t want it to change much because this is pefect. shine and a bit of lace. i love it.
oh...is it obvious my wedding is small?? 10 people at a small, peaceful (no tv/internet) lodge resort. so...uhh... if you want to say it''s not big and fancy enough, neither am i!!
if anyone wants to show me other similar dresses, please do. keep in mind that i am not built up top to do anything strapless, i don''t want anything down to the ground, and it has to have most of my upper back covered (my entire upper back is tattooed. it''s fine if the ink shows on my nape and shoulders, but i want most of it covered up).
anyway...the dress...

oh...and i will comb my hair the day of the wedding. or should i pay someone $1000 to mess it up?? you know someone was probably paid $1000 to mess her hair up like that.

Why not take that picture to a seamstress and have her make it for you? It doesn''t look THAT crazy hard to make. Cost effective, and faster!

And I wouldn''t pay anyone $1000 to mess up my hair, but I might pay someone $100. I don''t think there''s anything wrong with doing it yourself, unless you''re like me and no matter what you do to your hair, you always end up looking disheveled and messy. Then it''s time to call in a professional.

i''m not sure it would be more cost effective. the dress isn''t high end or anything. bcbg. i don''t think it''ll be more than a few hundred dollars.
oh...the hair thing was just a joke!! i am doing my hair and makeup myself. i was just poking fun because the model has expensive bed head.

Gotcha.

Don''t you think ''Expensive Bedhead'' sounds like it could be a scalp disease or some such? "That model''s got Expensive Bedhead! Quick! Get the cream!"

LOVE this dress!!
and would look perfect on smaller-chested gal !!!

(and if possible you could dye it black or something later and get years of use!)

BCBG? really--hehe, that''s why i luv it so much. I had two wedding days and wore a short, white pleated BCBG dress to the intimate wedding ceremony. It was regular $450 (but i waited and waited and got it for 1/2 price!)
The good thing about white dresses is that they tend not to sell out as quickly b/c ppl don''t wear them to weddings /winter etc. and that accounts for a lot of dress sales!

I love that dress, so cute!

I tried on a similar dress at a boutique called Calypso last week and loved it. The dress is made out of silk and is perfect for a destination wedding because you can literally roll the dress up in a ball and it comes out looking great. Here''s a picture:

I was thinking the same thing about a seamstress in case you can''t find it in time for the wedding.

What a pretty dress! Sound perfect for your wedding - and I love Jas''s idea about dying it black (or some other colour) afterwards.

newenglandlady, that dress is cute...but definitely not for my bod!! haha.

i guess i should add that my ''resort'' wedding isn''t a beachy, warm place either. it''s in the fall (october 4, hence my name on here) and it''s at a fancy camp/lodge. think trees, a lake, and cooler climates. i''ll be driving and it''ll take 3 hours to get there, so transporting a dress won''t be too difficult.

dying it to wear again would be a great idea.
