So in my thread from yesterday I said that I couldn't get the Pronovias Dango out of my mind. I called around to so many bridal shops in the states near where I live and also where my parents are in New England with no luck locating a sample. Finally today I managed to locate the gown. I literally had called every bridal shop withing a reasonable distance but ONE- the one closest to me! I just hadn't managed to get in touch with them while they were open.

When I put the gown on it looked exactly as I had imagined it would. I felt like a bird with lovely plumage because of all the ruffles/feather/petals... whatever you want to call them.

I have more appointments in the next week so I've decided to hold off on purchasing the gown until I try on more and verify that it really is THE ONE!

Thankfully the salon allowed photos! So without further delay... the Pronovias Dango!

Feel free to give some input. I haven't purchased this gown yet so its not a done deal.

Please don't mind my bra straps! I forgot to tuck them in before I started taking photos.

Very pretty I love how flowy it is. My favorite part is the train. Congrats on finding the one!

I''m usually not a fan of flooffy frilly ruffly stuff on wedding dresses, but I must say WOW to this one! The gathers were done so beautifully, it looks really elegant.

That train is awesome!

As a bonus, I think it looks fabulous on you.

with that train! Good thing I''ll have a nice long Catholic wedding mass to show it off!

Nocturnius- I never thought that I''d go for fluffly frilly ruffley like this either! I always figured I''d go for a sleek a-line gown with a sweetheart neckline in dupioni silk. I do love the sheen of dupioni silk in photos but I think this dress is photogenic as well.

Soooo beautiful and unique! Congrats on finding it. It looks amazing on you.

I like how the top gathers for for a simple look but makes it even more elegant!!

C-Tek, I love this dress! It''s beautiful and you look fabulous in it too!

Ohhhh, I love it! What a beautiful gown!

Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!

It is beautiful...but don''t kill me here, I think you have a fabulous body so I would really like to see you in a few more to compare to...but it is gorgeous! I think it''s smart to try on a number of others first though before pulling the trigger.

I agree. I might find something even more figure flattering. Neatfreak, I could totally hear you in my head tonight at the salon saying "try on others for comparison sake!!"

Unfortunately they only let me try on the one dress. They were doing me a favor in the first place by letting me try it on tonight.

I can''t remember if I already posted this in regards to my other thread but the girl with the dress on preownedweddingdresses.com did accept my offer of a re-stocking fee and return if it doesn''t fit well. I told her I''d let her know before Christmas if I want to buy it from her.

This dress is so pretty. It looks wonderful and flattering on you! I like how the bodice fits you; it''s a nice contrast to the big train.

I''d ditto the suggestion of trying on more to compare, but this one is lovely!

Oh Clairitek - I am THRILLED for you! How incredibly exciting ... I''m so pleased that you found this dress and got to try it on. It is gorgeous and looks fabulous on you! I

Pronovias gowns ... just so beautiful!!
I think that it was fate ... it was meant for you!

This being said, I think that there is a lot of wisdom in Neatfreak''s advice ... Even if simply as an exercise, if you have not already, just try on a few more gowns that you like so that a little down the road, closer to the wedding, you have absolutely no doubt that this dress is the right dress for you and you explored all of your options!

It is fantastic! You must be so, so happy today! I would have loved to have been there to see your excitement when you saw it in person for the first time!

YAY!!

- By the way ... love your description of the train with the "plumage" ... I think that I appreciate/admire tiered ruffling for the same reason.

Lol. I speak from experience...I was a three dress bride who wouldn't of been had I tried on a number of dresses first instead of trying to get a deal on what I thought I wanted.

Luckily I did manage to sell the first two and at some point I probably will sell the one I wore too...just haven't gotten around to it yet!

It''s stunning! I love the train

! The whole thing is so floaty and lovely and you look absolutely beautiful. You''re so lucky to have found something you love this much right away!

It certainly is stunning on you! I think neatfreak''s suggestion to try on more dresses is a good one, but I also think this could be *the* dress.

Man I''ve been watching your threads about the dress and all, and I just think it''s gorgeous!!! Haha I have been totally against strapless dresses in my online searching so far, but this makes me want to try it just because it''s so pretty!!! It has such a great shape. I hope it works for you to get exactly what you want!!
