I got to meet Miss Skippy!

Miss Skippy flew into St. Louis last Friday to visit friends, and she and I met up Saturday at a nearby mall for lunch. We had a great time, and she is just as sweet (and pretty) in person as she is online.

After lunch, we hit a few stores up. We tried on some things in BB&B. First up was a 3ct. round solitaire, which was way too big for moi.

Then we tried a 2.25, that wasn''t so bad.

IF I were to ever upgrade, a 2 ct.ish would do nicely I think. But I doubt that will ever happen. Notice I did not say "never".

Then I saw the funkiest ring, and had to try it on. It was heart shaped, with baguettes running vertically in the middle, surrounded by a halo. It was definitely flashy, and funky, and not something I''d ever consider wearing. I asked Skippy if she wanted to try it on and the look on her face was priceless as she shook her head and said no.

It wasn''t until later that I told her I didn''t really like the ring, she was so relieved.

She tried on several other pieces, I''ll let her tell about it when she gets back home if she''d like. The guy helping us was very nice and patient. I asked about Asschers, but they had just sold 6 of them and didn''t have anymore.

We only had 2 hours, and before we knew it, it was time for her to leave. Definitely not enough time, so I told her she just has to come back for another visit. I really had a good time Skippers!

And before someone asks, we took a few pics, but I can''t post most them just yet.

Skippy got a better one of my cluster pendant which I will post, although the lighting is not great. But it''s better than the one in my thread.


I know some of you will be meeting up with her later this week in Chicago, I hope you all have a great time, and I really wish I could be there!!

Just an aside-my dad's from Missouri originally! I actually went there a few times last year to visit my grandparents and we stopped by a Tiffany in St. Louis so I could get sized so I could tell WF what size to make my e-ring.

strm, I wish you could get there too. BTW, we've had crazy storms here, I mean intense. Massive lightening, and thunder. I asked Skip if she heard the one Sunday night and she said yes, and it scared her. Scared me too. I said you would have liked them. In fact, we found out later yesterday that the summer home we were at for the grad party had the deck get hit by lightening, and splintered a small section. Also blew out their heating/cooling system.

you cracked me up because I thought you wanted that ring. LOL I wished you could have gone to Chicago too!!! We did have fun at Sephora smelling the perfumes. hehe The guy at the jewelry store was soooo nice and showed us everything!!! Ellen you are very pretty and very sweet; thank you for a wonderful time!!!

Ellen's jewelry is lovely and I got to see some very beautiful pieces!!!
