I had my practice up-do yesterday!

My wedding isn''t until December 31 but it is in Arizona where my parents live, and I live in Chicago, so we''ve been doing as much prep as possible now that I am home for a visit.

So we met with the stylist who will be doing hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids. She did a trial up-do and I will be meeting with her again during my next visit in September for a make-up trial.

Her up-do looks fantastic! You are lucky to have a trial run. I''m headed to Maui at the end of month to get married and will have my hair and make up done without a trial.

Curious, how long is your hair and the veil? (I''m thinking of doing the same thing and wonder how long your hair has to be)

My hair is layered and the longest layer is about 4" below my shoulders, with shorter layers coming up to my chin.

I considered a destination wedding in Maui, it sounds fabulous! But it would be a little nerve-wracking to do everything without trial runs, I am paranoid like that

Edit: Sorry, forgot to tell you the length of the veil. It is two tiers and the longest tier lands at my hips, I am 5'10" ... are there standards for veil lengths/descriptions of veil lengths? If so, I don't know what they are, sorry!

LOL...Hi MelissaSue. I am somewhat of a lurker on this forum but I have followed your wedding prep and I thought your wedding pics were so, so beautiful! Congratulations!

No pics of the back, I am doing a second practice run in September and will post then.
