I have a question about the rules...

So, I will be getting my ring soon and I am super excited to take tons of pics and post them in SMTR. The thing is that I still have noooo idea what kind of diamond I want. Of course, it will be around 1.5ct and a round, ideal cut.

But what about the other C''s?

Colorless?
Near Colorless?
VS2?
SI1?
Flour?
No flour?
ACA?
H&A?

Should I buy from?

Wink?
GOG?
James Allen?
Brian Gavin?
etc...

So, because I was being indecisive about my diamond, and because I found my dream setting, I decided not wait and to go ahead and order my setting and Tacori told me that they would put a CZ in the center while I was making my decision.

My question is, I heard some people got emails from admin saying not to talk about CZ, and I''m afriad that once i post my ring on SMTR, they are going to take it off. I''m not going to talk about my CZ, but I''m also not going to lie and say its a real diamond. So, do you think it will be ok for me to post my ring even tho I have a CZ for now or do I need to wait till I get my diamond? And who knows when that will be since I keep changing my mind!

Everything else about the ring is real. Do you think admin will let me slide? I really wanna show you guys my ring! I''m super excited.

Until you get your diamond set into your ring, I would think that it would be appropriate to wait to post your ring.

Oh and re: who to buy from. Have you been posting in Rocky Talk? That's where I read & posted when looking for vendors for my earrings and pendant.

I am sure you have your answer on one part of your question already. So lets talk about the others...

There are a variety of very good vendors - and vendors who have made is a specialty to cater to us Pricescope people. They are all good. Why don''t you call a few of them up and talk with them - and then pick the one that fits your personality and needs best. I have personally purchased stones from two of your list - and have discussed stones with others. I am hopeful of purchasing more colored gemstones from Wink - if other things work out.

As far as which kind of stone (which features). It does help to see a variety of stones and compare them. Many of the vendors can set up a side by side comparison. Flouresence is a personal choice - I personally like med blue; but you may not. Otherwise, do your best. As long as you stick with a typical Pricescope cut quality stone you will be getting a diamond that is in the top 5% on general sparkle and light return.

You will probably want to ask the admin as everyone else has said, but I maybe if you edit out the center stone- like with a black dot over it added in photoshop or what-have-you, you could probably show off the lovely new setting.
