I have no idea about pearls looking for pearl studs for BM gifts :) help?

I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks trying to absorb some knowledge but am completley confuzzled and feel like a git when it comes to the world of pearls - all I know is they are pretty, classic looking and usually round

I was wanting to get my attendants some pearl studs for a BM/slash wedding jewellery gift I figure it is something they can wear again I have 2 BM''s one is pale and a redhead and the other is a pale brunette and the dress colour is a stormy grey with a lilac reflect (image of material not the dresses below)

I have no idea what to buy and the budget is around $60 per girl not including postage

I was thinking possibly these Freshadama 7.5-8.0 mm do I need to specify an undertone?

Unless anyone has a better suggestions

Any help will be muchly appreciated

I highly recommend them. Perfect wearable size too. I have the silver rose overtone. Perfect amount of white with a very subtle blush to them

swedish bean thanks for the advice on a discount - is there a special code I need to input or is it automatic , now silly question if I ask for a silver overtone will that have that lovely steely/rose reflect to it? - Really I am a nub when it comes to pearls

Hi Deelight, silver overtone is going to look white like mine but without the subtle rose color. Go to this link

In the box on the left you''ll see "Overtones". To the right of it, you''ll see "What is this?" Click on that and you will see the overtones. Mine are silver rose so they are a mix of the silver and rose overtone that you will see there. Swedish bean suggested the silver overtone which will be beautiful too. When you call to place your order just tell them the overtone you want! Hope that helps!

I was only guessing the silver tone because of the color of the dresses. The link that lizzyann provided shows a great example of overtones on different skin color. IMO silver looks good on everyone, but as you can see in the pictures, the rose looks great too!

I''m wondering now if the rose wouldn''t be better if your BMs both have pale, but pinkish skin? I have full confidence in PP and I think you should just call them and they''d help you on color, pearl points (discount) and all of that.

Swedish I will give them a call just after easter - yup both girls are pale and one is a red head the flowers will be a pale pink/purple/white and pale green mix so for that reason I am possibly considering the rose - decisions

I asked for a rose overtone the flowers will be white, pale pink, a lavenderish purple and a pale pale green so I am fairly sure that should look good
