Holy WOW! They fit AMAZING! I was wearing express jeans, their "Cetine" style, which was VERY low rise, and I liked the way they fit me, but Express redesigned their jeans now, and I just didn''t like their new styles.. I had seen the ads for Gap jeans, but I hadn''t gone in there, because in the past I''ve never liked thier jeans, found them too high waisted, just not for me.. But at work at VS yesterday, first a client came in, and was RAVING about the "curvy" fit Gap jeans.. how well they fit her, how great they are.. so it got me thinking about going in there. And then one of my coworkers came in, and I was telling her about my Jeans issues with the Express Jeans, and she said.. "YOU NEED TO GO TO GAP WHEN YOU LEAVE HERE!" and then she told me how much SHE loved theirnew jeans.. She''s not shaped at all like me, but she''s at least close to my age, so I trusted her on that one.. and the worst that could happen was I wouldn''t like them..

Then thank goodness for the sales girl.. because I was all about the "straight" fit.. because I consider myself pretty straight (no waist, not large hips.. although they keep getting bigger!), but since I told her I like really low rise jeans, she told me to try the curvy fit ultra low rise, because she said that people were finding the curvy fit much better in the low rise styles. These jeans fit me SO GREAT! It was like someone took my measurements and made a pair of jeans for me!

Anyway.. I totally recommend trying them.. they have all different styles by the way (ultra low rise, low rise, regular fit). I also really like their "original long and lean" jeans that the girl recommended I try on.. And they''re all on sale for $39.50 rignt now (the regular price on my jeans was $58). I''m really excited about them, except now I have the urge to get rid of all my zillions of pairs of Express jeans.. lol.

ah well u give me hope! i haven''t bought jeans in 5 years. the last 2 pairs i bought were the cetine from express also. i was convinced i got irregular ones or something because i never found another pair to fit the same from there ever! so= off to gap i will go. i just figured i wouldn''t like the style. i never go to gap...

i have a short torso, so i need extra extra low rise. that''s what i liked about the cetine... but if gap claimes to have some- i shall see.

Thanks, that''s good to know. I need a pair of new jeans and they sound great!!!

I spent an hour or so in The Gap Sunday with my daughter as she tried on their jeans. I think she tried on every style except the curvy ones. I thought one pair looked great on her but she is picky.

If their curvy ones fit you, Melissa Sue, I''m sure that NOTHING would fit me b/c I really am curvy.

Patty - Have hope! The coworker that told me to go there is VERY curvy. She is like the definition of an hourglass figure.. big boobs, big hips..which is the opposite of me, which was why I was so suprised the curvys fit me soo well!

I have to laugh because a few years ago I bought the "curvy" jeans from OLD NAVY.

Then they didn''t carry them anymore. I was very upset that I didn''t buy more than one pair, but I kept looking.. seriously for 4 years now.

AND THEN - the GAP has them!

The old navy curvy fit me so well, I hope the GAP ones are the same.

::thinking of reason why I need a new pair of jeans::

I''m going to have to go try some...I''ve never fit into a pair of gap jeans! The only jeans that really fit and look good om me are Seven for All Mankind, but at $132 and up...it''s a little spendy! But, I did find some at TJMAX for $80 a few weeks ago!

In the early 90''s I wore men''s 501 button fly levis! Loved them...

oooh, thanks for the tip. I''m heading out to the mall in a bit and will check these jeans out. I don''t need anymore jeans, but oh well, I will buy a pair anyway if these fit good because I have no self control and am a jean addict! hehehe

Tawn - I WORE MEN''S 501 button flys too! I have actually been seeing them again lately and have been wanting to try them on. I have a feeling they wouldn''t fit the same anymore, since I''ve gotten some hips since then..

I tried on some Seven jeans when I was in NY, and I didn''t LOVE any of them.. certainly not enough to spend $180 on them!

I think I will have to try these on....I am now my "CA" self (and sadly not my "NY" self....there's about an 8-10 Lb. difference)

and my curvy set-your-drink-down-shelf could use some new jeans!!!

I can''t wait to try them! I love Gap''s "long and leans" even though I am 5''1" and have a hourglass figure. They are so comfortable and fit really well (even though the "ankle" length is still too long, so sad). Maybe the curvy will be even better since I am curvy. I had the same problem with Express jeans. they were all I wore forever and then they changed their stupid cuts and I hated them. Plus (this is so stupid) I wear a size larger in express jeans than in gap or limited and that makes me sad. Speaking of limited, you NEED to try their victoria secret "sexy" jeans. They look so good on. Plus I love that when I sit the whole world doesn''t get a peep show. I am getting a little too old for that.

Ohh can''t wait to go there. Thanks for the heads up!
Limited also has some "curvy" jeans.
I''ve never liked Limited jeans but they have a new line and I quite enjoy them!

Tacori- On the plus side - Express has made thier sizes bigger yet again. I used to wear a 6 in them, and now the size 2 fit me the same way the 6s used to. I was trying on 2s in the store the other day, and alhtough none of them fit like my jeans that i liked did, the sizes were definitey bigger. They are about the same as Gap now.

Isn''t that sad MelissaSue that I let that effect me. I have always been naturally thin so has I get older and my body slowly expands and changes I let things like that bother me. It is silly really.

I think that the Levi 501''s are getting "cool" again! I''ve been seeing them alot again lately!

The whole low-rise thing is supposed to be going out! My Seven for all Mankind jeans just about fall off when I get on the back of my hubby''s new motorycle! I''m so tall, and you have to lean so far forward! Why couldn''t he have just gotten a Harley?

I tried on the curvy and they do fit very well. ALL gap jeans seem to work well with my body type (which is narrow, no hips, 5'' 4"), BUT, the regular length jeans are a full one inch longer than the other Gap jeans so they''re just too long. I didn''t try on the ankle length and don''t think I plan to since it sounds like the jean fashion industry is in turmoile! I don''t want to spend any $ on jeans that won''t be in in like two months from now.
