I need a DJ in SF! Please help

My DJ canceled on us and I''m searching for a new DJ who has some MCing skills. If the DJ spoke chinese and english that''ll be awesome, but right now I''m so stress out as our date is coming fast. I''m getting married Aug 12th in SF and so far I''m having a hard time finding one to come to our area. Please help.

when we were considering using a DJ we found DJ Bess. she answered our quote request from californiadiscjockey.com. she speaks both english and chinese (cantonese and mandarin, i believe) and can be reached at [email protected]

we didn''t hire her services though because we decided not to use a dj.

We used DJ Bess. If you want a good MC, then I don''t think she is right for you. You can see if you have better luck with her, but we were extremely unhappy with her.

DJ/MC – Bess Ho (F)

She got a F because she didn’t do anything that she promised to do. I was looking for a bilingual English/Chinese DJ/MC and she was recommended to me by a fellow knottie and also a DJ company. I called her, hoping to get an idea of what she does, but I didn’t get a call back. Then I emailed her and she responded with her pricing and confirmed that she does bilingual MCing and games. I asked to meet or talk over the phone with her to discuss details of what I wanted and what she can do, but she kept saying it’s too early to talk about details. So stupid me, I booked her 6 months in advance based on her emails. I didn’t hear from her for months and still nothing 6 weeks before, so I emailed her. I finally got a call from her 3 weeks before, and we went over my timeline. Then I asked about the games, and she said it’s best for our wedding party or friends to do the games instead of her. But in her emails, she says she has games and do games. I was kind of upset, but I decide that I can just think of the games. Unfortunately I didn’t have time and I asked her if she can just do the games since she says she knows lots of games. She then said she can give me the games and my sister can do it with her help. There was no help from her during the games and she didn’t give game ideas either. Plus she was supposed to MC, but she didn’t. It’s partly my fault for not having a list of names for the announcement ready, but I was telling my sister to write out the names for her. As my sister was writing the names, she said it would be better for my sister to do the announcement. I was really upset because it would be the same as if I was giving her a list, but she didn’t want to do it. I was thinking what the f*ck did I hire you for. She did not even say one word. Then on top of that, she barely played any songs from my song list or the types of music I wanted. We wanted R&B, hip hop and some (slow) oldies; she played YMCA and we are family, which I don’t think fit in any of my categories. She also showed up in a t-shirt and jeans, which I don’t think is appropriate, and she kept asking for a meal which she didn’t mention to me at all in the emails. She was just horrible. I wouldn’t recommend her to my worst enemy.
