Hi Everyone. I posted a few days ago asking feedback on an oval that has medium fluorescence. I’m feeling a bit anxious on whether it will turn out to be a milky or hazy diamond so I searched for another one that I like too.

Please let me know what you think on whether I should keep it or switch to the lower carat one with no fluorescence.

Thank you so much !

I already answered that question in the other thread.
I have studied and researched this topic and am something of an authority.

Agree with @Garry H (Cut Nut) that a medium fluor VS1 with only crystal inclusions isn't expected to be hazy/milky.

Fluor isn't automatically a red flag for transparency issues. I have a number of D-F diamonds with strong fluor and they are not hazy/cloudy. I actually love that I'm picking them up at a cheaper price because of the fluor.

Often diamonds that have transparency issues because some inclusion types - watch out for internal graining, excessive clouds and twinning wisps. These types of inclusions are those that cause haze and may be 'highlighted' more when fluor is present. The first diamond you are considering has crystal inclusions only.
