Sadly this is just calcite
You have been informed more than once that this board is about jewellery, as in fine jewellery, and not about rocks and minerals.
If you decide to stay and keep posting similar contents as you had done to date, then please accept a certain amount of p-take.

Dear Kid,
If you are still reading here, let me tell you that an owner of this web-site is a geologist. He obviously liked rocks and then gems. So keep looking and polishing your rocks. I like them. Becoming a geologist is something to think of. Good Luck.

A kid or, much more likely, a troll.
Don’t be that one person that gets offended out of absolutely nothing. This is a colored stone forum and we have trolls on a monthly basis. This is one of them, and if not, I blame the parents for letting them online alone.

Hi,
I Learned a term from a professor last night . It was something he called reverse verification. People don't verify the original information but cast doubt on it. This what Fox News does. It casts doubt on information that others believe to be true.
It is not a small thing . We all have disagreements on here, some nasty, some civil. But, at least try to find out if this is genuine. This person posted on the diamond board and encountered things like send it to the GIA before you send it to Sotheby's or Christies. Is it any wonder that he/she tried the colored stone board. All the kid wanted was to show his rocks. Just like you all do. He/She knew it was only calcite.
If you do things and act by rote and reverse verify, we can end up in trouble. It does please me to see Kenny's retraction, even if you think I am foolish. It made my day!
