I think I found my dress?!?!

OMG, I went dress shopping today and I think this is the one. Have a few more appointments but I felt something when I put this one on. I got a bit teary, the consultant got teary (her daughter got engaged yesterday and she''s pretty emotional, she was a darling). It''s a bit more than I wanted to spend (2.5K) but it feels divine on. The satin is just to die for, I feel like a princess in it. And the best thing, it does wonders for my figure! I will need to work on the tuckshop arms, but I still have 8 months!

Wendy Makin does make beautiful dresses and even though it is a little on the steeper side if it does make you feel 110% beautiful and all fluttery then go for it, however it doesn''t hurt to negotiate

, realistically you should be able to get 5-10% off possibly more, also she has a few stores so it might be worth calling around as well.

Hun seriously I am sure you don''t have tuckshop ladies, I have seen your pics your teeny tiny, keep us updated, when is your next appointment?

Thanks Dee. I never thought about negotiating prices to be honest. The SA did tell me she could do a better price, and I will try and use my platinum card, but I was really hoping to get something under 2k. Probably unrealistic, not sure? I do love some of her gowns from the Belladonna range, they are a lot more budget friendly, I have two more appointments tomorow at other places, so I will try some of them on.

I am telling you, I have tuckshop ladies!! After losing so much weight, my arms have a lot of loose skin, but it''s probably not as bad as I think they are. I will work on them though.

I am super excited now!!!!

How is your quest for a venue going sweets? Sending you lots of venue dust!

A lot of customers don''t or are to scared to ask but definitely negotiate everything in sales is negotiable within reason. She mentioned she is willing to go better so at the very least your looking 5-10% possibly more especially if they offer finance options and your paying either cash/card, the merchant fees for finance is really quite high.

Under 2k is possibly a little unrealistic but possible and wouldn''t stop me from using that as a starting figure (I would start around $100-200 under the figure your willing to accept so she has room to move back). Also another thing that I usually do is call all the stockists of a product and go x is offering me this for this I am wanting to buy it now what is the best price you can do for me? Some won''t give you a price because your doing a run around others will.

Another option if you find a similar dress from another salon that is cheaper pit that against this one, if you willing to buy now that is another tool in your favour.

Also another thing I just remembered a few friends were telling me you get discounts for paying in full by a certain time after ordering.


Finally end of year and end of month they will be trying to hit targets if they haven''t done so already so really a good time to get in there .

I assure you the tuckshop ladies are in your head your a stunner and will make a stunning bride

As for my venues, I have a list I have branched out more (I have added an Abbey, train station and a mountain manor to the list) and am looking at some other places I am picky that''s my problem, I am going to make appointments this week for after chrissie, thanks for the dust.

I am off again this morning to two more salons to try some more on. I think this will give me a better idea of whether that dress is truly the one. I was actually dreaming about it last night!!!! When I think about the wedding now, my mind automatically puts me in that dress. Maybe it''s a sign!
