Hello PS friends. I want to sell a CVB ring I purchased and do not wear. I need a bit of coaching on how to list it. Please pardon my ignorance. Thank you. Q

@Queenie60 I would take a look through a few listings on here for similar types of rings (e.g., a band, a solitaire, diamond, gemstone, etc.) and make a note of the details they include in their pre-loved posting on PS. Then also take a look at the information that is posted on their LoupeTroop/DiamondBistro listing and do the same. Then, gather up the same details for the piece you’re looking to offer, and use that to ‘advertise’ your item that you’re looking to sell. If you have links to any threads you’be made about the particular item, you can include those as well so people considering the item can see additional pictures of it.

In general, I think it’s good to have all the specs for the stone/s (if any) in the item as well if they are specialty cuts (e.g., frenchies from Yoram), metal content used, weight of the piece if it’s a larger item, etc. If you are firm on a specific price, or are open to offers around a certain price point, noting that helps potential buyers understand if the item is in their range. Lastly, be sure to create a listing on LT/DB either with the same information, or if you’re only offering it on PS, use the LT/DB listing to offer your contact details so people can get in touch with you about it.

ETA: Take a look at this: https://www.pricescope.com/communit...c-in-this-forum-diamond-ring-for-sale.166046/

Hope that helps; good luck! :wavey:

@Queenie60 One other thing - keep in mind that we are all located in different countries. So if you have limitations on where you might ship an item to a potential buyer, it might help to spell that out up front as well. And look into those costs before you commit to sending it anywhere. Shipping costs can be pretty expensive to some overseas locations, and insurance is sometimes not available at/above certain dollar amounts.

I don’t want to discourage you from listing an item at all (we love to share the bling and keep pretty things in the PS family:mrgreen2:). But since you’ve never done it, these are just some additional considerations to think about before you pull the trigger, so to speak. I know it might seem daunting, and that’s why consignment can also appeal to some sellers (as can the dollar amount), but if you want to try and recoup as much of your investment as possible, it doesn’t hurt to try listing it yourself before you go the consignment route. Good luck! :wavey:

ETA: I ditto what @elle_71125 said - definitely list the brand/maker! CvB definitely has a following and people love her pieces!

You may want to list it here on preloved first. If it's a cvb and you can link your smtb thread, it may sell quickly. I am sure there will be interest!

I'm so bad - why can't I find the page to post my ring on loupetroop? I'm signed in however, I can't figure out how to post. Please excuse me:wall:

I want to sell this beautiful Paloma style rose cut/Georgian Inspired marquise bezel ring by CVB. 18K brushed yellow gold with a 0.67 carat rose cut diamond, Flanked by two bezel set round diamonds. Size 5 and the ring is sizeable. I had intended to make it part of a stack for my left hand however haven't yet worn it and don't feel that I will as I am in process of having an eternity band made for my left hand and have recently purchased another ring from Caysie for my left! Spontaneous purchase. This ring is new and never been worn. I would like to ask $1950 for this ring. Let me know if you're interested and I will attempt to post on loupetroop. il_340x270.1399826772_nktx.jpg ASrnyxuiQcWA3z9Z1y3EHg.jpg
