Hi girls!!

I finally went dress shopping for the first time!!!!!. My sister is visiting from Colorado so it was a great opportunity to go!.

I had a BLAST!!!!!!!!! I tried on like 20 dresses, all different styles and all different prices (for fun because I do have a tight budget! hahaha). I tried on a dress that is something like Pamela Anderson would wear...haha, just for fun!. I also tried on a $6,600 dress that was beautiful and light as a feather!!

At the end though, I fell in love with two dresses...both of them out of budget though...haha, but my plan is to go to more stores, keep trying things on and then get a good deal on the internet or discount store (or even get it pre-owned!):

- Pamela by Adele Wechsler (I couldn''t find a picture on the internet that did it any justice!)...this dress is so "flowy", romantic...very flaterring and beautiful.

- Lanusei by Atelier Aimee....this dress is SO beautiful, elegant, very romantic too...it looked really good (although the dress was a bit too big on me so it was hard to see how flaterring it really would be)....this derss was also amazing..

Anyway, I had a great time!!!!

I want to go to try Pronovias dresses. I realized now that I love dresses with a flower on the side, strapless, with the fabric kind of hugging you diagonally (like these two do). I have yet to try one with a "flamenco" kind of skirt...the one they had at the store was just WAY too much....the dress was SO heavy!.

Here are some pictures of the two dresses....

on a model, the Lanusei dress

I found this picture on the knot....so I don''t know who they are!...but you can see the detail of the dress

Another one on that same girl...

I think her dress was white, I''m definitely going for ivory (on both)

Same girl, front of the dress

And this is the other dress (Pamela)...

I can''t find any good pictures on the internet! and I don''t like this picture of it!..

and this is the back

The second one has a veil that matche the dress, it has the same flowers that the dress has....it is breathtaking..so pretty!.

Both dresses are out of budget thouhg (3,800 and 2,800)...but I figured I have to try on everything and then take it from there...the sotr I went to wasn''t necessarily the cheapest either, so I''m sure I could find a better deal.

There is a store near my house that is having a sale on Pronovias dresses!!! I called them yesterday...I hope they are open today so I can go, if not I will try to go tomorrow before my little sister leaves on Wednesday!.

How do you girls talk the store owners into letting you take pictures??

gorgeous choices. I tried on an Adele dress that i really liked and considered--her dresses have a simple elegance but with unique features that i just love.
Only thing was the price ! My mom said she could make it for much, much less, so maybe you could look into somehting custom if you still really love it.

They''re both beautiful!

I don''t know if you''ve seen this, but it has the same romantic quality as the out-of-budget gowns. It''s a sample, but it''s a great price, and reminds me of the two you love combined (with some lace):

wow they''re absolutely beautiful!!

Beautiful, Mandarine! And I can imagine they both look amazing on you with all of the healthy things you''ve been doing lately both food and exercise wise!

Mandarine, I''m glad you had fun dress shopping and found 2 that you love. That is great! Both are gorgeous. The places I went didn''t mind us taking pics so it definitely depends on the place. Can''t you just sneak a picture in the dressing room?

Good luck on finding the dresses in your price range.

Beautiful dresses Mandarine! I''m glad you had a blast while shopping.

Wow! Those are both beautiful, Mandarine! I hope that you are able to find one for a deal, because it would be a shame not to get one of the dresses that you obviously love so much.

I only have one complaint...You know we need pictures, right?

You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went dress shopping again! and I need some help! How do you guys make a decision???? I likeso many completely different styles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need help finding this dress (or similar) cheaper....at the store I went to it was 3,300...but this dress made me cry when I put it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(they didn''t wllo me to take pictures at this store, but I will post pictures we took at a different store we went to yesterday!)...not with this gown though...

This one is the one that made me cry...it looked so perfect on me...the size was even perfect! (the samples are all usually to big on me...this one even fit like a glove! hehe).

It''s by Lazaro..number 3706

Ooh! How exciting! I bet we can find it for less or one like it if you tell us what it is.

ETA: Too slow! OMG, that is beautiful! Have you checked Netbride or Pearl's or similar sites, yet?

I loved, loved, loved that dress!!!

I have pics of me in other dresses, I''ll post them later (they''re on a different computer)...

There is one dress by Demetrios (Style #900) that I really liked (all lace) very different style than the one I just posted.....I''m so torned!....although this one would fit more the budget, it didn''t make me cry when I put it on! hehe...I just didn''t feel as "bridal" ;)

I just got back from the store and just checked preownedweddingdresses.com...they didn''t have it...

The dress at the store was a size 10 and it was perfect (I hate how wedding dresses come in so small...makes me feel bigger! haha)...

I have to go to the gym now, but I need to do a frantic search!.....that dress was just so pretty...elegant, romantic because of the flowers, it was breathtaking!

I did a quick check at Netbride and Pearls Place, but neither say they carry Lazarro.

Hopefully, someone else will chime in with some other options for you!

Try Pearls for the Lazaro. If that doesn''t work

Then call the Bridal shops that carry the lazaro line, ask them if they have the sample in a 10 and if they do... if they will sell it to you and at what price. If they are out of state, no sales tax. If they are close by, no shipping. Make sure you get the condition of the dress in an email.. or in an actual writing. No verbal stuff. Make sure they will return if actual condition doesn''t match stated.

Ebay is good for wedding dresses too as long as you observe the usual ebay percautions.

I LOVE the lazaro. To me it''s the nicest of the ones posted. AND it made you cry. I NEVER cried when I put on any of my gowns... so that is a CLEAR sign, IMO.
