We''re having a private, family-only ceremony in the afternoon, then a reception for our extended family and friends that evening. The place for the reception is a rustic barn, and we are having a blue-grass band, "country" buffet, card tables and my fiance even hired a magician he met to go around from table to table. I don''t know if the magician fits the theme, but he really liked the idea.

Any ideas for invitations?? I found this:

What do you think? I would word it in a way that it was clear that this is a casual reception and not the ceremony. I''ve seen several examples online.

Do I send out separate invites to the family for the actual ceremony?

Thanks for all input.

I like it. If you want something a little more classic, but still casual, try weddingpaperdivas.com. They have a TON of more casual invites including a lot with leaves or other outdoor motifs.

We got our save the dates and soon our invites there. You can customize the whole thing and the prices are reasonable.

Here is what we got (not ours just the sample):

Those are cute! Have you seen Deco''s invites? I really liked hers for the same type of feel. I would include a reception card inviting family to the reception in the invite envelope-- then just leave that card out for the non-family members. Good luck!

We''re going to use the same person who did my sister and her husband''s wedding invitations. The girl who owns the company, Albertine Press, is amazing. Her work is so nice and simple. She can basically do just about anything. If you check out her website you can see some examples of her work. If you''re interested, contact Shelley about her pricing. As I said, she owns the company (a small print and letter press shop in MA), and she''s super!

OH ZoeB, I just love letterpress!!! Traditionally letterpress is a more formal way to go but DF and I are by no means formal people and we really liked the look. The company that made our invites Sesame Letterpress and they do a really cute coaster invite that is quite clever. I think this would be really sweet for a reception only invite:
