The ring is not nearly as good as the man who gave it to me - but, it's the ring I'll share with you.

I wanted an antique-inspired setting, but preferably not an old ring. It is platinum and ordered from a jeweler in London with a diamond - 1.51 F ex ex ex SI1 Hearts and Arrows (without visible inclusions)mined who-knows-where then to me via Antwerp and New York and California. We.'re very pleased with it and the engagement that started the whole thing...You'll need to go to the next frame to see it.

We definitely need more pics of that one! It is a very unusual setting so I would love to see more angles!

You betcha! And, thank you! I'll attempt to post more. Problem is, my enthusiam for posting exceeds my computer skill! Unusual setting indeed - part of the attraction for me.

Hi Goldenringlets,

Are you getting any error messages?

I wonder if the pics are too big? Have you cropped them and saved them before you try to upload?

I am dying to see additional pics of your gorgeous ring, hopefully you can post soon!

You won't see it on anyone else but you!

Enjoy the glow!!

Mara-
You're great! I have e-mailed you some pics, and I hope you have better luck. I've no doubt you've got all the skills! You'd certainly win the popularity poll on this website!

Mara- You're absolutely super. You'll go right to diamond heaven. Thank you. If you're ever in England - this Californian would love to show you two around -

Thanks sweetie. We're planning on being in London this fall, keeping fingers crossed.

GR, that is a beautiful stone and setting! Very unique and beautiful. Where did the setting come from?

Stunning and unusual, and it looks great on your finger, too.

That is gorgeous! Congratulations, and wear it in good health

Gorgeous. I am not normally a fan of higher-set stones but I LOVE this one...very unique.

Wear it in good health and happiness.

LOL - It's from a Lucie Campbell, New Bond Street, London. New Bond Street is the extension of Old Bond Street with its high-end jewelry shops one after another. Walk a bit further, and you can have Tea at the Ritz...

Jennifer-
Somehow, the setting isn't is high as it looks...but, I haven't tried on any gloves yet...

That is truly the worsT kept secret...

I used to work a few blocks away and that was the greatest way to go home from office every night: if it wasn't too late for shopping I'd really be in trouble now

London was great!

Now Valeria...I don't want to detract from discussion of my ring per se
2.gif
but to let you know that Old Bond Street is, probably since you left, the home of apparently one of two DeBeers stores (on the corner of Piccadilly) in the world.... Maybe it's time for a return visit?

Loving old looks as I do, I adore your ring!

That thin shank is...extraordinary!
