Im about to get a ring HELP

I''m afraid you won''t find too many PSers who are in favor of enhanced diamonds. The general school of thought is that enhancing a diamond seems to cheapen it, both literally and metaphorically. Most people here would not be comfortable knowing that their F, VS1 is intrinsically a K, I1. You''re more likely to find a PSer who would be proud to sport a lovely K, I1 than one who would enhance it. However, if you and/or your signiifant other are not phased by this, then enhanced diamonds can allow your budget to go a little further as far as the 4 C''s are concerned. It''s a matter of preference and what works for you and your SO. I''d suggest doing a little research on the Pros and Cons of enhanced diamonds. Best of luck and welcome to PS!

Nate, I have a friend that has one and LOVES it as it gives her the size she really wanted. I personally would not want one but that is just me.

There is a forum here on PriceScope that deals with man made and clarity enhanced diamonds - pros and cons - that will give you some additional learning opportunities. It is titled Lab grown / man made.

I would not want one for a ring because of durability issues... Maybe for earrings or a pendant, but not my engagement ring. Plus, it just seems like a lie.... An I1 is an I1. don''t drill a hole in it and call at a VS1.
