Ok.... So for those of you that remember me, I''m back. I kinda dropped off the radar for a little due to a kinda negative conversation with the BF. For those of you that don''t remember my story, here''s a recap.
Bf and I have been dating for 7 years off and on, but have never really strayed far. Obvioulsy we always end up back together. In the beginning of last year we weren''t doing so well, so when the company I work for gave me the chance to move to Vegas for 6 months all expenses paid, I gladly took it. After about 3 months I realized how much I missed him, and after a total of 7 months I came back. We moved back in together under what I thought was the understanding that this was it! All or nothing and with a timeline. Things have never been better than this time around, and there is no question that we both just needed a little time to grow up on our own.
Now to the ring part... We were in Vegas in March and had decided that since it is so far (we live in FL) we would go to my favorite jeweler out there so I could show him my dream ring. Well we did, and we even went as far as having one custom designed, wax model made and everything. I left Vegas under the impression we were on a timeline to be engaged by the end of the year. Things were going great and he even surprised me with a birthday trip to Argentina. Everyone thought he would for sure ask me while we were there, but no.... So we came back and I mentioned something to him about the jeweler and he had absolutely no idea who I was talking about! OMG! I kind flipped out... Turns out that I was taking conversations that we had to heart when he was only just spewing words out of his mouth. Not at all like him, so I was shocked! Ok so long story short we finally worked it all out and I explained why I felt that a timeline was neccessary, and we compromised on February.
We recently started looking to purchase a boat, and in doing so we sat down with our budget and finances to figure it all out. While doing that I nicely reminded him that if he was planning on me still being here to go on that boat next summer he should budget out for the ring... He told me that he already thought about that, and he is budgeting around it!!! Finally!!! So I''m crossing my fingers that it''s sooner than later, but at least now I really am confident that we''re getting close!
