Well, only one month shy of dating 15 years the impossible has happened...I''m engaged! Let me just tell you how hard it was to refrain from sending a group email to all my family and friends with the subject line "Did you hear that loud cracking noise today?...Well, it was Hell freezing over because I''M ENGAGED!" I didn''t do that...instead my subject line was more like "For those of you who have known me for a long time, make sure you are sitting down!"
I had heard that 7-7-07 was a lucky day…well, it is officially my engagement date! BF rang my doorbell at midnight on Friday night. I peeped out and saw it was him and when I opened the door he was down on one knee, ring in hand saying, “It is now midnight on 7-7-07 which is supposed to be the luckiest day. I wanted to be here the minute it became the luckiest day to ask you if you will make me the luckiest man and be my wife. Will you marry me?” Of course I said YES!
Now, of course, everyone wants to know when we''re getting married....geez, people, it took this long just to get the ring, let me digest it!...LOL! Seriously, I have great friends and family who only want to celebrate my happiness...gotta love ''em. My response is that it will be a very small ceremony--I''m just not up to planning a wedding--I''m simply too exhausted from dating...
