1.05 ct (7 x 5) pink sapphire (heat only) from thanex on ebay in LOGR setting
The temporary settings don't have "nice" side stones yet and except for the one holding the hessonite, the settings are quite light weight and not worth upgrading the stones. My jeweler where I used to live would set my stones for me very inexpensively, so I often just put them in inexpensive settings so I could wear them right away. Since I moved, I don't have that luxury any more, so I have stopped buying settings that I'm not going to keep or that need upgrading.Date: 5/3/2010 6:25:34 PM

What a lovely collection but why so many temporary settings? Some of those settings I'd be happy to have as permanent!!!
Your ginger-orange sapphire is very pretty. Is it the one in your avatar also?
My two favourite settings are the one with the green tourmaline with trilliant sides - one of your temporary settings! It's very pretty. Can I ask where you got it please?
The other one that really caught my eye is the LOGR 3 row diamond setting with the emerald cut in the centre. Can I ask what you think about it please? Did you upgrade the diamonds? Is it a good weight etc? I've been considering it in white gold fora purple sapphire I have.
Thank you, that was one of those pleasant surprises. I got the ring second hand. It used to have a CZ in the center and it needed a bit of prong work, but once I got it finished, I was really pleased with how it looked witht the baguette wedding band.Date: 5/3/2010 6:24:35 PM
