Just wanted to let you guys know that I got engaged last Friday (May 2nd). The ring has been in the house for a couple of weeks and I did so good by never looking at it! Friday we were supposed to go out for date night (without my kids) but my parents weren''t able to babysit. We took the kids with us and had a fun dinner. When we got home we were watching TV while they were playing outside. I''m not sure what started it but he was goofing around, taking my hand like he was going to propose (he does this a lot to push my buttons) and I said "You know, when you finally do it I''m not going to believe you!"
He takes me by the hand and walks me to my room saying "Then I''ll do it now!" and was calling his bluff saying "oh, right. Do it! Do it!" So, he gets the ring box out and opens it up. I close my eyes cause I don''t want to see it till he proposes. Then he gets on one knee, says something (I don''t remember!!) and puts the ring on my finger! I had my eyes closed and still wouldn''t look at the ring! I kept saying "are you serious!?" And he was
So I of course said yes, and the ring is mine
It''s so gorgeous and I''m just so happy. I''ll try to post a pic of it- not sure if I''ll do a SMTR thread! Not sure if this pic is too small but pics alone don''t do it justice!!
Anyway, I''ll still be hanging around the forum! Not sure when we''ll have the wedding... I know it''s a lot less stressful the second time around!!
