You know I was never impatient about getting engaged BEFORE we got the ring. Now that I know he has it I am starting to be crabby that he hasn''t popped the question yet!!

I am tempering my frustration with the fact that I''ve pretty much gotten my way about this whole ring business and understanding that he wants that moment to be perfect and HIS way.

I''m touched that he''s so particular about the process as frustrated as I am with the timetable.

I''m just feeling so anxious to get engaged now that the ring with us!!

Thanks for letting me vent ladies...

Hi! I swear, you just wrote my post! I totally understand your situation!!! I have gotten my dream ring, in every way it''s more than I could have dreamed for. BUT, the question hasn''t officially been asked yet, and said dream ring is tucked away in the safe. I am dying a slow painful death lol!! It''s been in the house for over 4 weeks now and I think I am getting grumpy. I totally don''t want him to be pressured, I really want to give him all the time to make the proposal exactly what he dreams about too, cause this is just as much about him and it is about me. That said, I guess I feel a little down and disappointed that he is not falling over himself to ask me. I know that''s silly, but I can''t help but think, if he hasn''t found the urge to ask me once in 4 weeks that can''t be a good sign. But on the other hand, I think men are just more patient about these things, and I am sure when it does happen it will be awesome.

Try not to go nuts! We are here to help. I would turn to chocolate in times like these, but I want to look half decent in our engagement party photos. I also think it''s an excellent time to focus your frustrations in your home manicure regime. My nails have been flat-out stunning since the day the ring arrived and he knows all about the magic mani. We were going out together the other day and I jumped into the work van and bent a finger nail back. He got really worried and said, OH NO not your fingernails!! Do you need me to run back inside and grab your manicure bag - awwwwwwww he is just so adorable!!! I did the same thing yesterday and he told me to be really careful getting in and out of the work van can cause I don''t want to break my beautiful nails (yes, they are natural). Is this a good sign?!?!

Boy, do I hear ya! My BF has only had the ring one week, and I am already in a frenzy, wondering if it will be tomorrow. I am getting the magic mani tomorrow afternoon. I''m just not getting the "vibe" for tomorrow though...we have some weekend things planned already, so I don''t see when there would really be a proposal opportunity. Prior to the ring possession, I always envisioned a romantic proposal of some kind...a story that would make people go, "Aaawwwwww!" Now I don''t care if he proposes in the kitchen as we clink glasses of Diet Coke!

He''s promised that he won''t hold the ring too long, but what does that mean??? He even joked the other night that he has to "pick up the pace." I told him my mom is probably sleeping with the phone under her pillow, waiting for The Call.

Well, here''s to hoping our wait won''t be tooooooooo much longer!!!

Aww ladies let me tell you that I would absolutely positively PAY to be in your shoes right now...or trade my soul...whatever it would take

I am very excited for each of you and I hope that your men get their butts in gear and start moving these rings out of safes and boxes and onto some very deserving fingers (and some very well manicured ones).

Here''s some dust lucky ladies!!!!!

I could understand your frustration ladies. Here''s some dust for you guys >

Seriously, all those magic manis are going to start getting magically expensive. How long are you ladies supposed to keep it up?

Still, I''m with Keepingthefaith - I might pay to be in your agony.

amen to that.

sending dust and good vibes your way ladies!

I''m not allowed to get a mani ladies so you all must do it for me. My dermatologist said its a no-no since I have sensitive skin. Ah well. Buffing is OK, so I should probably start. And now I''m also paranoid about everything because I want to look immaculate the day he does pop the question...argh...

Thanks for the dust! I''ll need it. Yesterday he said he came up with a great idea but he needed time to execute it because he need *something* that required some time. Talk about vague and frustrating. I prodded him again today as I was driving home from work. I told him that it''s hard waiting and frustrating--to which he replied it''s not easy for me either, but I have to come up with something memorable for you. He asked me to trust him because he would do the right thing by me. *sighs* Guess its gonna be a long wait!

LOL--you guys would pay to be in our shoes? I dunno, it''s a different kinda torture ladies. But here: *DUST!* some goodluck fluff for you all.

I understand your pain. When we approved the WAX, the jeweler gave us an estimated finish date...THIS WEEKEND

Waaaaaa!! I wanted some kind of surprise, so I told BF "I don''t want to know when it''s done, I don''t want to know when you pick it up, and I don''t want to know your plan." Now all I can think of is "Has the jeweler called yet? Is he going to pick it up? Does he have a plan? When? When!? Wheeeeeennnnnn???????"
The only way I can calm down is focusing on my research so it''s a good thing I''m getting that done

Anyway, here is dust to all of us! I''m expecting LIW graduation announcements from all of you next week!

ETA: The moment I submitted the previous post, my BF called. He usually never calls during normal hours; only before bedtime. My heart was pounding. "Is this it? Oh my gosh...My face is burning..."

BF: "I just found out how to make my non stick wok work! My tater tots don''t stick anymore!"

Well, I have to say, I''m much more calm now...Made me realize why I want this guy so much

OMG that is absolutely hilarious!! Every time he does something ordinary and run of the mill I''m all suspicious now. So I''m pretty much paranoid about every little move!!

Your BF makes tater tots in a wok? Not that I''ve ever made tater tots... but I thought they were more of an oven food. Goes to show you what I know.

Hehehe! I have perfected the at-home mani! I have been doing my own mani''s (natural nails) for about 15 years, and I always get compliments on my nice nails. I must say, I can be running late for the airport, a function etc and I just can''t go out without at least a clear coat!

that would do me in. Knowing it is in the house, I would be trying to really nail him down, which I am sure would spoil the whole essence of things. But it is almost easier not knowing it is actually there in the house. Then, you are just not sure what is up!

You''re right, tater tots are usually done in ovens, but we just like to do everything in a wok. We''re weird
