Nice collection cushioncutnut!

What type of stone is at the bottom of your ring finger in the first picture (it's a vibrant lighter blue in a bypass setting)? Is it an aqua?

Thanks,

It is a blue zircon. It is approx. 3cts. I got the setting for a great deal on Ebay and it had an Amethyst in it but I bid on it to set the zircon in! The setting is amazingly built for what I paid for it! It might take some searchin' but if at all possible, I try to find a setting that may already have a gemstone in it that I can replace it with a nicer gemstone I already have. I will get a ring back tomorrow from the jeweler with another estate setting I won on Ebay and switched out the center stone. So much easier than trying to find a setting from one of the chinese sellers that seem to nickle and dime you with all the customization and then you have to worry about receiving it exactly as you want..........also, I usually buy from sellers where returning is easier........ but all that said could be for another thread.

The gemstones are from an Ebay seller name Pranogemstones... The pink Tourmaline is a lovely purpley pink at 4cts appox. 12x9mm, the darker purpley/blue spinel is 1.56cts about 7mm, and lighter spinel is 1.46cts, about 7mm, the tsavorite is .75ct approx. 7x5mm almost callibrated. I have been trying to find a setting for the tsavorite...but I will save that for later on down the road. I decided that these stones where worth making an offer on and I am glad I did as I think them to be true to what was stated along with the pictures that the auction represented. I am not going to second guess if they have been treated or not as I paid less than $70 for the tsavorite and less than $40 for the others. They feel every bit "weighty" as a true gemstone would feel...not like plastic or glass. The faceting pattern along with the sharper facets all lead me to believe they are not synthetic...also, they are included as stated in the auction...but luckily, nothing is an eye sore that stands out. I would definately order from this seller again. They are truly lovely for the price I paid. The pictures of the stones on my hands look "oily" which is from the oil on my skin....

Is there any type of stone that comes in blue range that you don't have? I particularly like the simple setting of the aqua (is it aquamarine?) directly under the pear. Nice collection.

Latest edition which is also an estate piece from an Ebay seller. I was up late one night and made a "lowball" off on this ring thinking that the jeweler would not not accept. I think the reason why the jeweler accepted my offer was because I sent him a note stating I live close to where he was located and asked exactly where he was at........Low and behold, he is about 25 minutes from my house. This could be the beginning of a beautiful and "dangerous" relationship......

The ring has a lovely cornflower blue sapphire. Of course it is not the greatest cut but I just love the 18kwg setting and as you can see in the pics, the stone really glows. It is approx. 1ct 6.5x5mm. The diamonds are VS-SI1 approx. .40ctw.

Gorgeous collection!

Just curious, can you wear the rings on all fingers (except thumb & pinkie)?

I'm planning on purchasing a ring and stuck on which finger to place it on.
The difference between the sizes of my ring finger, index and middle (left and right hand) are huge.

:))

and mixed in with my blues, Aquas, sapphires, and blue zircon with diamonds.........OH MY!!!

Unfortunately, I can't which I don't think is uncommon. I where a size 5.5 on my ring finger and a 7 on my middle and index finger. Never have worn a thumb ring yet which if I did, it would be an 8.5. I use to wear a pinky ring but I never could get use to the feel of a ring on my pinky which is a size 3.5. I also worried that it would fall off of my pinky.

We have the same ring sizes on all of our fingers - well, I don't know about the thumb b/c I've never had mine sized. Can I borrow your rings? :Up_to_something:

Pretty blues, especially the cushion. :Up_to_something:

Thanks cushioncutnut!

Love that new sapphire that you featured...what a great find and hope that your wallet can handle the new relationship with the jeweler! I am thrilled that I guessed the zircon correctly, my eyeball skills are getting a bit better (yes, I know...pictures are pictures, but I love guessing!). I love blues too!

Thank you! The zircon is just gorgeous IRL. The colors go from a lovely turquoise blue to a medium sea green....like being in the carribean........ I see you are getting a nice collection going too! It is addicting!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. 8)

Gorgeous blue collection with your cushion standing out for me, not just the colour but also the size and setting too. Looks like you got a pretty package with the oval sapphire ring too. Those eBay finds appear to be well priced. Do you have any fingers left for these new stones? :cheeky:

Ha! Would you believe that of all the rings that I have, I only wear 2 rings max, 1 on each hand. As much as I have an obvious ring obsession, I don't lace my fingers up with rings as I don't like my rings to "compete" with each other. Also, wearing too many rings at one time drives me nuts...but that won't keep me from getting more as long as they are in budget and Ebay is around.

LOVE the sapphire
