AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry, had to get that out)
SO, as I said in my last post, the BF and I had our 2nd discussion of timelines and it was farrrr more successful than the first. WELL He asked what I liked (in a ring) and I said that I had a pretty good idea what I wanted, but had no clue on diamonds. He asked why and I said, well - I have never tried one on! I have no clue what size is appropriate for my hand! I didn't even know what size ring I wore because I refused to go into a jewlery store unless it was to BUY something. (didn't want to get my hopes up, ya know?)
Well, He said (very sheepishly and adorable) that it might be a good idea to go figure out what I like (carat, style, etc) and what size my finger is. AHHHHHHH Cue immediate excited freakout as soon as he left for work! I had asked if I could take a close friend, one of our roomates' girlfriend and he said yes as long as she kept to the secret mission. He didn't want everyone knowing because an actual engagement is still a bit off.
and WOW I never thought ring "shopping" would be so .... stressful!? I had butterflies, I was shaking, I couldn't talk properly and it was only the first store we went to. I went to all the chain stores in the mall to get a feel for things, get comfortable, and get my courage up before heading out to local jewelers. We will have to make a 2nd secret mission for the local jewelers because they were all closed for memorial day.

I think I am IN LOVE with Halo solitaire! I thought it was strange to call it that because the halo has diamonds but I guess the solitaire thing is that there are none on the band. Does anyone know of someplace that has this in a LOW profile setting? I love this one on Eternity Diamonds and this Verragio. The problem with the ED one is how TALL it is!
Any ideas? Everyone in the mall said it would be really difficult to find but I am hoping that is just because they only carry the really popular rings?
