I am trying to find my on-the-hand pictures- I just found this site though I got engaged a few months back. I''ll keep looking.


Here is my story:
The fourth of July weekend was our one year anniversary, and Steve told me he had made plans to celebrate our first year together. A limo picked us up at his house in Georgetown and took us to the Ritz-Carlton downtown, where he had reserved a suite to set up his plan. There were framed pictures of us around the room and a huge vase of sunflowers, to remind me of the first flowers he ever gave me. There was a chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in the room. He had scheduled a massage to relax before dinner, which we ate at The Grill, the restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton. We both thoroughly enjoyed the filet mignon and our private table for two in a separate part of the restaurant.

At the end of dinner Steve told me he had one last gift for me, something that he had been working on for a long time. In the room a CD of our favorite songs was playing, candles were lit, and there were rose petals strewn everywhere and in a heart surrounding a scrapbook Steve had made. The scrapbook had pages for all of the big events since we''ve been dating- our first date, my birthday, Thanksgiving in NYC, our recent trip to Alaska. The last page told of many more chapters in our life to come.
As I turned the last page, all misty-eyed, our song came on and Steve got down on one knee and said, "I know I said this was your last gift, but there is one more thing I have to ask you... will you marry me?" He took a ring box out of his pocket to reveal the most beautiful diamond solitaire I''d ever seen. I of course immediately started crying and saying, "Oh my God, I wasn''t ready! I don''t have waterproof mascara on!" Then I jumped up and threw my arms around him and said, " I can''t wait to spend the rest of my life with you! Did I say yes yet? Yes, yes, yes!!!!"
It was the most wonderful and romantic proposal- I felt like I was in a movie!

Thanks girls... I''ll have those hand shots soon... oh and oops, it is a price tag, but what you can see is actually not the price, don''t worry! I realized it looks like it says $9800 or something! Totally not the price! It reads in the opposite direction.... the price itself is hidden in the ring box. I will remove it though
