First, pick a song that has meaning for you and your husband to be... not one that just sounds ok. Really take some time. Some songs to consider, these are somewhat untraditional... but creative.
1) A friend had this song at her wedding, with a guitarist and singer: John Denver- You fill up my senses. Now, the song sounds a bit outdated, but when sung by the right person and just a guitar... beautiful!!! There wasn''t a dry eye!
2) Ice Dance, Edward Sisscorhands... this song is angelic!
3) Somehere over the rainbow/what a wonderful world. This is the song I want to have played on a guitar or ukulele when I get married. It is a beach wedding so... it''s perfect... and it will be our frist dance. This song has special meaning for us!
4) Norah Jones-Come away with me, I am considering this song too.
5) Unforgettable... most people use this in the reception. Use it as you walk in... you will make an impression!

Anyways, I hope this helps! Creative ways to make your ceremony more personal.

Thank you a million times over, my wedding is in a week and I''ve been racking my brain back and forth on what song to use.
I will be using the Ice Dance thanks to you :) I am going to look for a piano version, because it is just simply breath taking and magical for a winter wedding.
Thank you again,

I've always loved Busta Rhymes (featuring Mariah Carey) 'Give it to Me'

I would have wanted it at my wedding - I would have been happy walking down the aisle to it - although I'm not sure whether my husband or our families (or the Church pastor) would have really dug it like me!!

I can't remember if it was actually out by our wedding or not... perhaps I'll have to have it in twenty years time, when I renew my vows!!!

This is absolutely my favourite love song ever.

when i was planning my wedding, i got hooked on the vitamin string quartet because they''ve covered a great many current pop songs, so if you have "a song" it''s likely they''ve done a strings arrangement of it. we wound up using coldplay''s "lovers in japan/reign of love" for the grandparents/parents, a piano version of ben folds'' "the luckiest" for the bridesmaids, "glasgow love theme" for my processional, and "pm love theme" for the recessional. it was a bit unconventional, but very us.

I love, love, love vitamin string quartet and will likely use some of their songs, as well! They have SO many covers- all genres and styles. I especially love their "indie wedding" CD!!!

Our VSQ selections thus far:
Head Over Feet- Alanis Morissette
Shiver- Coldplay
In Your Eyes- Peter Gabriel
Do You Realize?- Flaming Lips
