Incorrect side diamonds delivered on my engagement ring

Hi guys,

I recently purchased this 2.11ct oval cut G/VS1 with heart shaped diamond side stones but to me these look like pear shaped - which was an alternative option from the jeweller that I purchased from.

Am I going insane here? These definitely look like pear shaped stones to me....Which isn't what I ordered or paid for!

Those are pears.

But double check your centerstone as well, and make sure they didn’t just give you the wrong ring.

I have contacted them and reading their website re: refunds - for a superstitious man like me this isn't a great omen at all! Surely I would be eligible for a refund for an incorrectly delivered ring? Not sure I have the confidence in them to produce another!

Like Yssie said, have a look under a loupe and identify the center diamond. Then I think I would have them fix it. You have your order which should show the correct description. If they make good, I think you would have a tougher time trying to scrap the whole ring. IMHO

Hopefully they can explain all of this to you but it should have been discussed with you before the ring was completed!
