I am having some trouble picking between these two. I know they look almost exactly the same but I am just really hung up on the differences I suppose! On one hand the micro pave is so delicate and beautiful, but on the other hand, the harmony is a "wow" setting. Or maybe both are "wow" in person. HELP!

1. Is one setting more secure than the other for the side stones?
2. Will the harmony side stones overpower a 1 ct diamond?
3. Is one setting more comfortable or less scratchy than the other?

Here are the matching bands:

I am considering ordering the bands to compare them..would that be acceptable, since I know I want to purchase the diamond from WF?

Any input is appreciated, thank you for your time!

Thanks for moving this to RockyTalky! My mistake.

I know that Butterfly has this Harmony set. It is really beautiful and she seems to be very happy with it. I remember asking her about the band and she said that the diamonds seemed somewhat protected from the way the band is constructed on the sides. Maybe she will chime in:) I will try and find the thread where she mentions it.

I prefer the ORIGINAL Harmony.

Gypsy, what is different about the new harmony from the original?
Thanks, hathalove :)

I do like the integrated head, thanks!

But in terms of micro pave v. Fishtail pave (or another style of pave, for that matter) is one more durable than the other?

Hi Kansas_Lady!

I am very interested in this thread, as I just went through the exact same deliberation you are going through.

In my case I wanted a band to go with a 3 stone. Deliberated on pave type, melee size etc etc. Ordered the Harmony band with .02 melee. It should arrive in a week or two.

I don't know what the 'expect' as I don't own any thing remotely comparable to any type of pave. But based on all the threads & satisfied owners, ordered the Harmony on faith. Plus, I like the way it looked.

It was between the Harmony & the BGD Dream. Decided to go w/ the Harmony as the Harmony band seemed to provide protection as the melee did not protrude or come close to the edge of the band setting as the Dream, & thus safer--in my mind.

Then the secondary dilemma, was melee size. Wanted more of a shimmer look, so stayed small with the .02's. It will not be a full eternity, rather more of a 3/4, by doing so I felt this would help ensure the more delicate setting style of pave some additional insurance against loosing any stones etc. It may drive me nut's with spinning, we'll just have to see--if it does I'll just have to trade it in on an eternity. I'll post when it gets here.

Good luck with your decision!

I vote the harmony!
it really depends on what you want though! the legato setting would show more metal on the sides of the diamonds which isn't my personal preference and although it looks equally shiny as the harmony online, in real life I think the harmony will show more sparkle... the legato looks similar to "bead set" rings that are not my personal preference but it really depends on what look you're going for! :D

My opinion only, I think the Legato from a distance almost looks sort of like channel setting, all I wanted was a thin line of shimmer, hence the Harmony choice.
YMMV,

I like the Harmony better. The diamonds will be blingier.

Thank you for your response, SarahB! I greatly look forward to seeing pictures of your harmony band and 3 stone ring :)

The Harmony does seem to be a popular pick on the threads, I am just concerned about it looking rough with a jagged edge. But I bet that it is not noticeable in person.

I just looked at the Dream and the Harmony does look secure! So are the pave stones secured both by the beads, and the outside edge of the band, where the metal forms "peaks"? It is difficult to tell from pictures..

I've always thought 3/4 bands are very beautiful and practical, as they can be re-sized if necessary. Hopefully it doesn't spin too much. I have also debated if the Harmony is too "blingy" for a one carat stone. I want sparkle, and Knarffy said, the legato might show too much metal and the diamonds might not even be noticeable! You'll have to let us know if you think it is more "shimmer" or sparkle! The legato micro pave might be TOO understated.

Thank you all for your posts, and I look forward to seeing your post soon, SarahB!

Hi Kansas_Lady! :wavey:

I received the vender photos of the Harmony Band, w/ .02's. Won't have it until the other item is competed, so still a few weeks out, but thought maybe you'd like to see the photos as well. I'll post again when everything arrives.

Hope you are coming along with your decision....I'm hoping it is shimmer too!!

SarahB,

Thank you for the beautiful pictures!! I'm sure it will be even better in person :)

SO correct me if I am wrong--this is a custom Harmony band, but it is with .02s, and forgive me for not knowing, but I did the math on the whiteflash site, and is the standard size of melee .01? So yours will be slightly larger? The diamonds certainly look wonderful in the picture, can't wait for hand shots!
