Anyone know where I can get these made for the least amount of money? I''m not opposed to DIY on these so if you know of a good label-making company/kit, I''ll take that info, too :)

How about just printing labels from your computer? It seems easy enough but of course, it *always* sounds easier than it is. Or seeing how much somewhere like Kinko''s would cost.

I would do it yourself--i use printshop pro for all my labeling--super easy to use. I would print them on either 8 x 11 sticker paper (and cut them out) or large ''name-tag'' sized stickers (from avery labels) you can just take a graphic from the web or whatever and import it in to make it personalized.

Okay, great! I''m sure I would like to do them myself but where can I get the water bottles from? Do I buy regular ones from the supermarket and peel off the original label or put labels over the original ones? Or is there a place I can get un-labled water bottles from?

Hmmm, good point! Here's a place that makes the custom labels http://www.collingwoodwater.com/site/Default.aspx but I'm sure this is more expensive than buying from Target or wherever, ripping off theirs and putting on yours. It sounds time consuming though.
You'd think someplace sells the bottles w/o labels..

Sorry I couldn't be more help!

ETA: From doing a quick search, I don't see you being able to buy the bottles w/o the label. You either have to buy already labelled bottles or buy bottles w/your custom label. There are a bunch of sites like the one I posted above.

Dixie~ you''re right as I''ve looked, too. But I guess if the label we make is in full color it wouldn''t show the "aquafina" lablel underneath? lol

The thing that makes water bottles w personalized labels expensive is the shipping so that''s the bit I want to avoid!!

fill your tub up with hot water and some soap, score the labels so the water can seep in--let the bottles soak for an hour or so and then they *should* peel off ;-) It won''t matter if the glue doesn''t completely come off (cuz it''ll be covered)...then just dry them and stick on the new labels.
If you are doing hundreds it may be time consuming, but otherwise quite simple.

so_happy I just got mine from ebay and they are wonderful!!!! and not expensive at all compared to time and stress I would put into making them -- Here is a link to another of her auctions - http://cgi.ebay.com/PERSONALIZED-PRETTY-WEDDING-FAVORS-WATER-BOTTLE-LABELS_W0QQitemZ190106542998QQihZ009QQcategoryZ20937QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem - and really I was very very surprised with what high quality they really are. I also ordered the candy wrappers for the minis from her and they are great too --

I was going to do them myselves but couldn''t figure out how to get them glossy ya know? Anyway, this way I got 25 which is great as I''m only putting them in the baskets in the hotel rooms, and 240 of the candy wrappers for a grand total of $33.70 including shipping.

Take a look - like I said, I was surprised with how great they are --(I''m really excited, literally got them today in case you can''t tell

Thank you, Sarie! I''ll definiteley check them out! In the meatime, may I ask what kind of water bottles you are using them on and how the process of removing the original lable might be going?

Well FI actually did it last night while I was at work and I got rewarded with a phone call about how nice they looked and how it easy it really was

Our water bottles we actually got on sale at Kmart, just Kmart brand whatever they were in the middle of the aisle in a 24pk and we bought them last week -- It actually turned out nice bc we got 25 labels, so we had one left over to keep for our scrapbook. These apparently were great bc the labels on them were actually made of paper and not that plasticky stuff on most of the bottles so it came right off leaving enough of the glue to really cause the labels to stick well.

FI had them finished in under 20 minutes so super easy -- God love him, he then went on to put the stickers on our bubbles and ask if we had the little candy bars to put those labels on too
