Inspo request : profile filigree

I am looking to design a ring with a gap in the profile
I would like to fill the gap with a design, and I am looking for inspiration. Typically, the examples I am seeing are just squiggly or floral designs, and I’m not into that. If any of you have into pictures- I’d really appreciate it. I’ve attached some examples of what I mean.
(Again, too organic for my taste )

I love a nice intricate profile! My taste does tend towards floral and organic, so that's mostly what I have on my board, but would these be closer to your taste?

This is floral, but also kind of angular. It's a random vintage ring on e-bay

This is the antique setting I put my red spinel in. The sides are squiggly, but the basket is plain.

That 2nd setting is really cool. I like how the design vertically fills the open space touching the top and bottom frame of the gallery, if that makes sense. It reminds me of gothic cathedral windows. Curves in the design with architectural references, not reading floral.

No, I do not like any of the examples I provided above - I just needed to show you what I mean when I say profile filigree.

I could do circles, I guess…. The. Maybe add a few bubbles engraved on the side- but I’m not terribly inspired by that idea

Maybe art deco examples will inspire you? I assume that when you say your examples are too organic, that maybe something more geometric might work.

Yep I know it can be done- I’ve already designed a ring with it. My point was more that I think it would be too small to be read as a spider web and not just swoops

I like the creativity but I think it’s not quite the vibe. I would like it to be a little weird but more suggestive that explicit.

Taking inspo from spiderwebs, you could take the top right and left panels of the first picture and flip them inward for the design down the band, then connect them in the middle with the center of a spiderweb like in the second picture.
