I was doing a yahoo image search on "wedding centerpieces" and this picture popped up (I usually ge3t a few weird ones from image searches, but this one was just little more odd than usual) :

wedding-centerpiece-side.jpg

It''s from this site: coffinitup

it says it it for a "piece" an artist friend is creating, but the image is titled "wedding centerpiece."

Hmmmm.... I''d love an invite to wherever this shows up, it would be an experience, if nothing else. Gives a whole new take on the "til death do us part" thing, doesn''t it?

I know this will strike everyone as weird (or maybe not) but I like these! My FI and I were running around on the web looking for other Halloween related things and we saw these. The ones we saw were about 6-7 inches long, 2 inches high. We were considering getting a few to put candies in around the room for the cocktail hour. Fits the event!

I know- yes we''re an interesting couple.

I saw that yesterday too! Weird, isn't it? I guess it might work for a halloween wedding, like nytemist is having.

ETA: LOL, I didn't even see that you'd replied NY!

Yes, I could see it for a Halloween wedding, especially for a young couple...

I just remembered that reality show on MTV where Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra were planning their wedding. They actually posed as corpses with toe tags and were going to use it as their wedding invitation, with the caption "til death do us part"

If I remember correctly, they wise up and used it for invites to their bachelor/bachelorette party instead.

So mini coffins aren''t that odd... better than posing as corpses.

Nytemist that''s perfect for your wedding! I love it!!!!

We''re really thining of getting a few. Just to have some added holiday touches around the room. We also are thinking of getting some of the tiny ghost-shaped candles. Nothing over the top-we''re aiming for wedding on Halloween, not a Halloween party where a wedding happens.

nytemist - That actually sounds really fun - you''ll have to post some pics of your decor after the big day!!

I have seen on other Wedding related boards that there are lots of Gothic bride themes, I would imagine that these brides would buy this type of thing.
