Was messing around tonight with my digital camera, and got a photo that I kinda like! I only had candles for lighting, and out of about 15 this one was the one I like best. It sure makes my ring look huge! If I can get the camera to agree with me, I will post more... Maybe one with slightly better clarity.

Hope the photo comes across okay!

here goes nothing...

here is a side shot...not terribly pleased with it. I can never get the side shots to look as clear, probably trying to shoot too close. I like how the candle flames created a blue fluorescent reflection. Looks pretty.

last one for tonight....This one was taken with the TV as the lighting, so it isn't quite as dark. I don't know why my hand is in this strange claw formation? oh well, probably trying too hard to capture the ring itself and as a result gave the appearance of rigor mortis setting in! it's always something....ha!

heck no! It is fun playing around!

PG nice!! I also took some low light pictures and posted them a while back...the low light does do amazing things with the size of the stone and the inherent deep colored sparkles, so pretty.

It looks like you are having fun admiring your beautiful diamond ring. Wear it in good health.

Happy Holidays!!!!

Your ring is really beautiful!

I love the way it looks...

You know, after seeing all these pics, I wanna try on all of these rings on the site on MY OWN FINGER!!!!

That's what I'm what I'm thinking with each picture I see!

Hey PG..your ring looks so much like mine in the low light...we have similar settings so it's so funny to see something so similar in pictures!!

Here is my thread for low lighting...very low though...hee hee.

Also I'll post a picture next of somewhat low lighting with my ring so we can compare the settings!!

When we meet up next month we will have to compare our settings in person!

wow. you're right! Yours is the only other ring that I have seen like mine...most people say that they had never even heard of/seen the setting that "we" have...even though ours is slightly different, yours is prong set, mine is pave...but small differences. Even our stones are very similar. I think you said yours is 1.23 carats, mine is 1.21, but I think yours has a spread that makes it look like it is 1.35, so I am jealous!

I can't wait to see yours in person...hey, can you bring your idealscope with you next month? I am so curious to see what my stone looks like under one.

You have a really beautiful ring, Mara. You must get compliments on it all the time.

Of course I'll bring the IS and I'll also have my Regent pendant to show off as well.

I do get lots of compliments on the ring--and the sparkle sometimes is amazing! The other night I was out with a girlfriend and was talking with my hands and her eyes kept following my stone. It was hilarious! She finally said--'I can't get over your ring...I just want to stare at it the whole time!' And tonite we were at a philharmonic concert that Greg was playing in, the lights were making my entire ring look like a blur of fire because of the diamonds set all over the band...so pretty!

Constant entertainment, that's what I call it. I told Greg to amortize the cost of the ring over say 5 or 10 years and it's cheaper than taking me out...hee hee.
