:Sigh: I live in Korea, and I just had my ring shipped to my mother in Ohio. She has gotten it appraised and everything looks fine. I''m ready for her to send this baby to me!! Now I''m getting a bit worried, though. I looked at the regulations for shipping from the US to Korea. It says nothing about jewelry, but it does say (obviously) that the items need to be listed for customs declaration. I''m not sure if they''re going to tax me on this package. I''ve sent packages here to my FI before I came and he was never taxed, but his roommate was taxed on a package he received once (it had a bunch of old clothes in it, go figure).
Any vendors ever send anything to Korea per chance? Anybody else have any recommendations for shipping this? I''ve all but ruled out the USPS. Looking at UPS, FedEx, and DHL now. Does anybody know of any good websites w/ tax info on it? I know the shipping websites don''t have specifics on that.
Thanks!!!
