Introduction and a quick "hello"!

Hello all! My name is Angie, and I''m 28 years old. My bf and I have been together for almost 4 years, and I swear I love him more everyday. We also work together (he trained me and he''s my partner), so we''ve kept our relationship somewhat of a secret from the crowd here. They all suspect, but none have confirmation! (We love having fun with that...)

Anyway, we''re looking around at rings, etc, and I''m really excited to be moving ahead with this relationship. But, truth be told, I''m so happy right now, I don''t even care if we ever get married. Well, of course I care, but there''s no pressure...I''m just happy to have him in my life. I never thought people actually got to feel this good, but thankfully, I was wrong.

So, I''ll be on here lurking, posting, and eventually with a hand pic once the ring is given! (Actually, he took this afternoon off to do some shopping...buying the diamond today, if all goes as planned). As far as the actual proposal, who knows..It could be two weeks from now, or he could wait 6 months...it''s a suprise!

Happy and grounded? Wow...thank you! I''m definitely happy, and I think I''m pretty "grounded"...especially when it comes to this relationship. Of course I''m going through all of the "girly" emotions...we all like pretty jewelry right?

However, just knowing that he''s thought about it and put the leg work in because he cares about me and wants me to be happy is more than enough...I''ve never had anyone make me feel so truly special.

So, an update...apparently he did order the diamond yesterday from BlueNile...I''m sure there''s some feedback on here about that service. (I''d still like to hear anything you know about the place!) He had done a lot of research about Blue Nile and felt comfortable with ordering there. (He called me last night and said he "skipped" down the stairs once he''d placed his order...I like enthusiasm like that)

He got (I don''t know specifics, but I know what his minimum requirements were...):

Color-E
Clarity-VV1
1.00 length to width ratio
Cut-very good
He said he wanted to get something as close to perfect to go with the whole package (me!).

I can''t wait to see it all put together. I don''t know how long it will be, so we''ll see. I''m really just enjoying the anticipation and seeing him so excited and proud...you can''t beat this. I''ve got no worries IF it will happen, so I''m just enjoying this time for all it is...I''ll never have the opportunity to feel like this again (which kind of makes me sad).

Oh, and I live in Knoxville, TN, so if there''s anyone out there close by, we could arrange a get together like the L.A. girls did! That seems so fun...

It''s arriving today! He took the day off work to sign for it. It''s killing me. I know it will still be a while before it "happens" but it''s really exciting to think that the big part is already here!
And what''s even better is how excited he was that it was coming today...he sounded like it was Christmas morning!

Well, apparently I''m talking to myself, but who cares I guess.

The FedEx guy showed up. My BF had also ordered me some diamond earrings...they came and the engagement diamond did not. He called Blue Nile, and they said that it should still be showing up today, although they couldn''t provide tracking for it...
Plus, poor thing, he tried to boot up his primary computer and nothing happened. He knows computers ridiculously well...he can do anything with them, and he''s going to have to spend the day figuring out what happened here. So he got on his secondary computer and accessed the emails with the confirmations...luckily he had it.
I feel so badly for him....he sounded really upset...

I know I won''t be getting it today...he picked out a Scott Kay setting and Blue Nile doesn''t offer it, so he just got the diamond. And there''s NO WAY he''s going to let me know when it will happen...that part is a complete secret. He''s a little upset that he recruited me for help...he wanted it to be a suprise, but he also wanted me to LOVE it. So I told him I wanted an Asscher cut with platinum setting...he went from there. But the actual "event" I won''t know anything about. Now that''s hard...knowing he''s got the goods and anticipating WHEN it will happen...it''s really fun though.

I wanted a pair of very small diamonds to wear in my second hole in my ears. He got 1/3 Ct. princess cut earrings...just the basic ones, but he said they''re beautiful. Like I said, I wanted small since they''re for my second hole...and I''m bad about losing earrings. If I had huge ones, I know they''d fly out of my ear the first night, and then I would be absolutely miserable.

God I miss him today...I can''t wait until tonight!

I''m not there yet!! The diamond is here, but the setting is an entirely different bear. Though he''s got an appt with an appraiser today, so it seems like he''s quick on this one. And we heard they sent your diamond off to be mounted in the Scott Kay setting, so that could take 1-2 months. I''m just trying not to ask any questions...leave it up to him.

(BUT, one of his best friend''s wife is pregnant...about 5 months along. I wondered outloud whether I''d be invited to a shower, and he said "well, you''ll be engaged to the dad''s best friend...you have to go!!"...hmmmm)

This is killing me but I''m trying not to get too anxious. I was doing well, but he keeps dropping these hints. Now every time I see him I''ll be wondering if "this is it". Nerve wracking!

So, I''m sticking to my "LIW" status...
