invitation address labels?

i bought the Brides invitations from Michaels, but i am a bit confused as to why there were only one set of address labels included, do most people not put labels on the invitation or the rsvp cards? i don''t think i would have them professionally handwritten, so would you recommend buying more labels?

Just a personal preference... if you can't have calligrpahy, I would have the names/addresses printed directly on the envelopes instead of putting labels on.

Is that an option?

I used the invitations from the brides line and mine didn''t come with labels at all. I printed my addresses right on the envelopes because I have horrible handwriting.

It''s just a personal preference depending on the bride. There are brides that use labels for everything and all envelopes. It''s just my personal opinion, that printing the name/address on the actual envelope would look nicer.

I am putting lables on the RSVP cards and handwritting the invite envelope... with a friends help
I read somewhere that lables on the invite were tacky..... Not really sure how true this is anymore however.

hmm... that''s got me thinking. the invitation i bought is more like a self mailer so it doesn''t come with an envelope, so maybe the labels are for that, and i''m supposed to print the address on the rsvp envelopes?

do these things come with how to manuals?

ok... are you sure they are labels, or are they elongated stickers for fastening the self mailer closed?

are there the same amount as the amount of invites?

Or are they large like the ones in the top left coner of this picture? They used them like a packaging label, with name/address/and return adress on the same label...

ETA: If they are this size, I think they are way to big for that RSVP envelope on the bottom left. So I would either use them for the outside of the invite or don't use them at all. (Just my .02)

hi meresal, yes, they are like the ones in the photo you attached, so i kinda figured they were for the envelopes, there were only 30 included so one for each self mailer

but for the life of me, i couldn't figure out why there were no labels for the rsvp cards that actually came with envelopes

i was thinking of buying extra labels but i might just print the addresses out onto the envelopes.. still thinking about it...
