Ok, it''s time to assemble my invitations!

I have a vellum "wrap... it folds around the ecru card and fully encloses it. The front has a pattern to it, but you can actually read the invite through it if you wanted to. The back of it is clear vellum. Then I have the response card with stamped envelope and a card about our website. I want to wrap the whole thing with chiffon ribbon and tie a bow.

So...

1) do I put the website card and response card with envelope in a stack in front of the invitation, inside the vellum?
or
2) do I put the inserts behind the invite so you don''t see them right away, but could still get to them. It looks neater this way, but I''m worried people wouldn''t notice them
or
3) Do I not put the inserts inside the vellum, but just stick them in the envelope along with the bow-tied vellum-wrapped invite?

help?

no opinions thus far... maybe some pictures will help?

Here''s option number 1. You can see the inserts in the bottom left.

Here''s the front of option 2, with the inserts in the back. You can almost read the invite through the vellum with this option.

Here''s the back of option #2... I''m worried people won''t notice the inserts being behind the invitation. What do you think?

And I guess option 3 would either putting them in the envelope but not in the vellum, or tucking them in the back with the ribbon, but outside the vellum. Neither of those really appeals to me, but could be done.

After trying to assembly-line it, I figured out that option 1 was the fastest. It took me 3 hours to do 75. Only 425 left to go! Hand tied bows? what was I thinking??

but it looks so plain without the bow.

wow, those are pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I can''t help with anything, I have never assembled invites! hehe. I think both options are ine, so I would go with whatever is easier!

Where did you get you invitations from? very pretty! good job!!!

You should enlist friends and make a night/weekend out of it!....make an assembly line and have some fun with it

I''m enlisting friends for my DIY STDs! (and I''m making less than 50! hehe)

Thanks Mandarine!

They are from Invitations by Dawn and were quite reasonable... but it took 3 printings to get them right. Luckily for me, the mistakes were theirs, so they reprinted for free and without any hassle... so I have tons of ecru card stock scratch paper at home!

They only did the printing... I had to do all the folding... which took a LONG time, but wasn''t impossible. Now that we''re at assembly time, my bridesmaids said they''d help me... but they are busy every weekend this month, and since I live 45 miles away, they are being a bit stubborn about coming by after work. And I want to have them done by July so I can take them home to my mother for addressing. (her friends are doing that bit) So it looks like I''ll be spending the next several evenings tying bows! I think I''m getting the hang of it though.

Ha!!!

Seriously, his idea of gift wrap is the bag it came in. Tying a bow? no way. Plus he has shaky hands (which is why I had to do all the folding). He''s on his bachelor''s party trip right now though so I have the house to myself and the table covered in invites. I think I''ll have them done by Monday. It''s time consuming but not especially hard.
