Hello!
I am coming out of lurkdom for just one moment to ask a quick question.
I am having a small wedding (Approx 9 guest) and am going to send out some simple handmade invitations (etsy.com)
My question is since this small wedding is also a destination wedding when I send out the invitation should I include some little card that has a note about driving directions, or flight itinerary, or when booking a room to mention the last name...? Like I said it is a very small event so I wasn''t sure if it is really necessary to include these things.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks ladies!

Hmm I think it''s up to you. Since it is small, you could just call and let everyone know if you want. But if you want to do it then I think it would be nice since it''s a destination wedding.

Thanks for the reply!
I guess that is why I was even asking because since it is so small everyone has been pretty in on the decisions and knowing what is going on... I guess I am just trying to decide if invitations are the way to go and if so I just am having a hard time what to include in them and even what to say on them!

I guess I will have to do some more thinking...

But thanks again!

Let''s see. Well, I''d send invitations, but don''t go crazy on them (unless you want to). I think that just an invitation, reply card, and envelope would be entirely appropriate.

I''m always jealous of small weddings. It''s so intimate. Anyway, to answer your question, yes, I think you should send out invitations. It''s something you may want to keep as a memento. Your friends and family may also want to keep it for scrapbooks or photo albums.

As for the other info, I would add an extra little card with those details. This is not all that necessary since all your guests have been involved in the planning, and you could probably print it on nice paper by yourself. You could always have this info on a website if you''d like. Just so your guests have something to refer to or print out for an itinerary.

Thanks for the advice! I am pretty much doing these invitations as a little memento for us and also for our family... they are simple and just perfect! I just wasn''t quite sure about what all I need to include. But Sarah I think you are right if I just include the invitation, reply card, and the envelope then it will be fine...

Thanks for all your advice! It is much appreciated as I am stressing out about all these little details

OMG, If I just invite my immediate family, my wedding party would be larger than you. I am so jealous. I''m trying to figure out how to bring my numbers down.

But enough about me, to answer your question, yes, send the invites, it''s always nice to receive it in the mail. Also, the directions and stuff are not necessary unless you have time to put it together.
