Irradiated diamonds

Hello everyone. This is a silly question but can the final colour of the diamonds be chosen when they are irradiated? Is there any method that ensures they come out red or blue or green, for instance?

Each color requires a different process so mostly yes, however there is a not small chance of odd outcomes.

To add to Karl's info:
In the "old pre LGD" days, virtually all the diamonds that underwent radiant were undesirable. For example- brown diamonds were irradiated to make blue, and or green.
Nowadays, with cheap, Lab Grown Rough, and different set of demands....there's a lot more experimentation going on. I've seen some truly crazy colors.
