I thought the limit didn't apply if you were logged in? But looks like no more HCA calculations for me for the time being.

That's weird! It looks like when I'm logged in there isn't a limit. Maybe there's something weird going on with your account?

I had the same thing happen yesterday while logged in.

Happened to me a few weeks ago.

It looks like it's not a cookie limit. Probably an IP limit. Strange thing is I don't remember using the HCA calculator at all today before it told me I could no longer use it.

Garry must be mad at you!

I haven't been able to run any HCA scores for the past couple weeks. Not sure what the issue is, but I am certainly no paying for the ability to do so.

When searching diamonds with my son last month we were limited to three a day as well.

Mine works, but it gave me a message that said I had 999 uses and that I should consider a commercial/trade account.

I looked at pricing. No thanks. I will use other methods.

Maybe we can all help each other out, "HCA check please" megathread!

Easy way to rack up some post counts too

I don't mind to help people, but not for the sake of post count. :knockout:

FYI, here is the 999 message I get.

A resolution would be great as I max out at 3 even when logged in, too.

I got the same message as @sledge. If I'm limited to 3/day I'll cry since I'm looking at stones and running them through hca a lot :(

I get a different message (see below) and I have been getting it for a couple weeks now and been unable to run any HCA scores, so mine isn't a "3 per day" thing....more like 3 free in general. I get this message when I am logged in in Chrome and when I am not logged in and using IE.

You have reached your limit of 3 free calculations

@Kaycee2018 - I have never seen that before. How surprising.

I'm a premium member. It hasn't cut me off from working, I just see that little message I already posted.

I think I've blasted through 30+ of those in a single day searching & helping others.

What @cflutist said, or else with GIA stones, just stick with the measurements...that's faster and easier than running the HCA to me. These numbers generally will get you in the under 2 range on HCA and most H&A stones are within these parameters.

table: 54-57
depth: 60-62.3
crown angle: 34-35 (you can maybe go to 35.5 with a 40.6 pav angle)
pav angle: 40.6-40.9

Just buy a HPD CBI or WF ACA and you won't need to run HCA. :mrgreen2:

*flings door open*

Hurry and get in -- the anti-super ideal lynching mob is coming. ;)2 :lol-2:

Has anyone asked @Garry H (Cut Nut) ? My peave is that the tab-stops are in the wrong order...maybe I'm the only person left in the world using Tab?? Depth "tab" Table "tab" Crown "tab" GO "tab" "Pavilion"

Ugh, I know what you mean. I'm a keyboard shortcut guy, so this drives me absolutely bonkers.

I'm old enough that keyboard short cuts are "the" way to do things. I even know most of them for special characters (superscript, plus/minus, sum). I have coworkers who are slaves to their mice and are shocked bu my keyboard kung fu . I'm starting to feel like the old oracle...

My keyboard hacks started when I learned CAD. One hand on the keyboard to input commands, etc and one on the mouse to draw. During finance classes, I learned so many advanced functions in Excel using the keyboard as well.

But generally speaking I look for the most efficient way to do things. Mouse movements are not efficient. I still confuse people with easy speak like CTRL+C, CTRL+X and CTRL+V.

Of course, on my Mac I liked to use the Unix terminal to get nasty. I'm on Win10 now but about to deploy a Linux distro and go dual boot, and will use the terminal there as well. On Windows I still crack open the DOS command line for some stuff.

So using keyboard shortcuts is very natural to me.

I haven't use the HCA in a while now. I know which stone will pass or not just by looking at the specs.
